We have a two car garage - replacing the single overhead bulb with just one of these multi-panel lights made a huge difference. We can see everything in there now. The hinges let you position each of the six panels individually, and they're nice and tight - they'll hold their position indefinitely. We've had this in our garage for almost half a year and the panels are in the same spot, with no outages.I use the second as a positional spotlight, using a tripod, super clamp, and a light socket extension cord (normally used as a hanging pendant lamp). It's great for lighting up a green screen, for example, and I've also used that combo to light up work areas that didn't have other lighting options.The color temperature is daylight, so indoor use may not be ideal for people who prefer softer light. And this would be overkill for use in smaller areas like closets. I have not tried it on a dimmer, but the product listing says it is not dimmable.Overall, it's great for the garage and other situational uses. Highly recommended!

I got these to replace the single bulb in our garage when it burns out. The ceiling is high so we need a fair amount of output to make a difference.I ended up putting one in a floor lamp to use while painting. My goodness is this baby bright. The light is white light, so closer to daylight and no shadows. Really ideal for painting. It will show every flaw so the final job will be better. This is better than the halogen worklight I have. It's cool to the touch, another consideration when you're up and down a ladder and moving around. I won't worry about backing into a hot bulb with a container of paint in my hand and a gallon on the floor. I don't need that kind of excitement.I haven't put the other one in the garage yet but I'm sure it'll do just fine. It's definitely a cold light. No atmosphere, but totally functional.

Easy to install. Much brighter than the fluorescent lamps. Does not feel like quality build from the touch but you can’t get that feeling once installed on calling. Don’t look at it, it is too tight and will make you sick to stomach! Good value for money so far.

After taking off the protective plastic sleeve on the threads, it was easy to install (didn't have my coffee in the morning yet so couldn't figure out why it wasn't going on - doh). It was installed in an attic on a receptacle that was on an angle so being able to manipulate the panels was a plus to allow access to the pull chain. Was able to angle the other panels to illuminate many corners in the attic. Very bright. Recommend looking down when turning it on else you'll be seeing spots. Again it was one of those morning so par for the course that I was looking at it when I turned it on - yikes! Perfect for attic, garage and basement.

They dim down a bit after a few months of use. Still very bright though.

Smaller than I thought, but man these things are bright. Put 8 under the house, and now I need sunglasses.. exactly what I wanted

Installed these in my shop and now I can see what I'm doing. Much better than the strip lights I was using. Also very adjustable to spread light where you need it.
