The first thing you need to know is anytime you do an install you should search YouTube for an install video so you can see a real life example and what to watch out for. This mount is unique from others I have looked at because it comes with plastics that make it very OEM after it is installed. If you follow the steps in order this is VERY doable. This took me less than 30 minutes to install and that included taking off my old screen mount. So here are my thoughts...Tools: You do need more tools than provided BUT most people with a tool box will have anything you need which includes a 10mm and 13mm socket in my case. Since I didn't plan on re-using the plastic cover I just used a flathead screw driver to remove taking minimal damage.Adjustments: Make sure to snug up the adjustment screw to your liking before you put on the screen it is very hard to do after and usually means taking the screen back off to do it. Most will not need to do this. There is plenty of movement so chances are the screen will be able to be adjusted to a spot suitable for anyone.Install: All the holes lined up and bolts went in easily. Honestly this is not hard.Finished look: I love the finish look with the plastic that comes with it. If you didn't know what the OEM looked like you would thing this was factory.

Feels and looks OEM. Great way to see the screen or hide your text messages you get from the mistress while the wife is sitting passenger.Easy to swivel/maneuver while driving. Doesn’t seem to have any issues with the wiring yet. A little difficult unhook everything in the back of the screen, but once that’s done, this thing is pretty easy to install.

I have a 2022 Tesla Model Y. First I had to spend $10 at Lowe’s to get a lever / pry bar to open the original cover, since the flimsy plastic orange lever wouldn’t cut it. Then I had to spend another $15 at Lowe’s to get a socket wrench, because the regular 10mm wrench included would NOT fit into the small space to loosen the nuts. So in the first 2 steps took me over an hour of trying to get my small hands into a tiny space in my car without the right tools… and I still can’t find the right bit to loosen the bolts. Long story short- this is not something you can install yourself. Horrible advertising. And I’m frustrated that I spend $ on tools to still not be able to do this myself.
