We all expect to be able to buy an excellent cup of coffee from the many brilliant coffee shops available. But what about the coffee we make at home? Shouldn't that be just as good? Coffee expert James Hoffmann is the cofounder of Square Mile Coffee, as well as creating extremely informative, and popular, kit and coffee reviews for his YouTube and Instagram channels. In his latest book he demonstrates everything you need to know to make consistently excellent coffee at home, including: what kit is worth buying, and what isn't; how to grind coffee; the basics of brewing for all major equipment (cafetiere, aeropress, stovetop etc); understanding coffee drinks, from the cortado to latte; and the perfect espresso. Review: A Must-Read for Anyone Serious About Making Better Coffee at Home - One of the best coffee books I’ve read. James Hoffmann explains coffee in a simple, practical, and engaging way. I learned a lot about brewing, grinders, beans, and extraction, and it has genuinely improved my coffee-making at home. I enjoyed it so much that I purchased both the Kindle and hardcover versions. Highly recommended for anyone who loves coffee and wants to make better coffee at home. Review: Whats better than a coffee table book about making Excellent coffee? - James Hoffman has once again devlivered an engaging, engrossing and beautiful compensium of essential coffee facts, tips and recipes for the coffee dilettante and undoubtedly the connoisseurs as well. If you love coffee or even have a passing interest in improving your cup of coffee this is a good buy. Its easily approachable and has wonderful pictures. The only thing it lacks is the smell of freshly roasted coffee.

Nothing great, copy and paste
I am a fan of James Hoffman and follow him on his youtube channel. Having read his previous book which was fantastic, this book is more or less a copy paste with a few tweaks here and there. The most annoying thing which is typical of James that all his discussions are inconclusive, lacking even his personal suggestions. The pictures in the book are unlabelled and are shot casually which shows poor publishing. I would recommend reading his book The World Atlas of Coffee but this one isnt too great

Very good book but badly delivered.
The book is so good but it was sent in the most terrible packaging that it came in such a terrible condition. A hard cover book was wrapped in a polythene bag. You can’t be serious ?!?

Wonderful introduction to the world of coffee
I came across James' channel on YouTube and was immediately hooked. So i quickly looked up his book because I wanted to learn more about coffee. As a coffee newbie I find the book very insightful but still easy to read. James tries to explain the different facettes of coffee as simply as possible so everyone can understand why they are important without getting overly complicated and pretentious. I think he reached his goal by making me much more interested in the making of this lovely beverage. Moreover the book looks and feels really nice and is a must-have for every coffee table (no pun intended). Also, the value you get for the small price is insane. Highly recommend!

Perfect Gift for a Coffee Lover
How To Make The Best Coffee At Home is a great little book for anyone who truly loves coffee and enjoys the process as much as the final cup. It’s easy to read, not overly technical, and makes improving your coffee at home feel fun rather than complicated. The tips are practical and approachable, with lots of small insights that actually make a difference in everyday brewing. I gave this book as a gift alongside a few coffee essentials, and it felt like the perfect companion to them. It adds context and inspiration—helping turn good tools and beans into great coffee. As a bonus, it’s also just really cute on a bookshelf, so it feels as much like a coffee-lover’s keepsake as it does a useful guide. It’s the kind of book you can flip through, learn something new each time, and put into practice the very next morning.

excelente! que venha uma versão em Português
Muito bom e agradável. Sem frescuras, como muitos que tratam do café com paixão. Espero que saia logo em português para encontrar mais leitores no Brasil. Recomendo muito!

True to its title
Anything by James Hoffman is excellent, and this book does not disappoint. Not too much science, easy to read and understand. Perfect for beginner and advanced coffee makers/lovers. I first bought a copy for myself, and this is my second copy I am giving as a gift alongside a bag of coffee beans.
