I sat down at the bench and just kept working away because I was on a roll... I am so happy with how this ring turned out! The perfect tourmaline slice, the straight lines, the brushed finish and mixed metals all came together just right:) This beautiful and unique ring features a perfect and true watermelon tourmaline (11.5x9.5mm and 3.83 carats) on a 1/4 inch wide hand forged solid sterling band with gold filled wire wrap. I have hand brushed and slightly distressed, them oxidized and polished gently worn in look and warm feel. The tourmaline has a smooth finish on both faces and natural edges with fantastic colors from it's medium grass green outer rim to the bright pink center - it just pops! The stone has been solidly secured to the band using gold filled wire to wrap and a drilled channel on the outer edge of the stone. The setting is very unique in that the stone is very slightly raised above the finger - which allows for a bit of light to flow under it and show off the colors of the stone:) The ring is a size 7/7.5 If you'd like more photos or a video, just ask!
