YES- I DID throw my old paddle out with the bread when I forgot about the loaf until it went moldy. My breadmaker is older, and this works just great! Don't forget like I did and throw out the baked in paddle, but if you do- this is great! Look at the image and make sure the shape with the flat side looks to be a match. Happy baking!

I purchased this, but I also bought one from Hamilton Beach at the same time (where shipping is more than the cost of the part.) I ordered them because the coating on the one that came with the machine was wearing off - and I wanted more than one back up. The one from HB is a perfect fit. The one from this seller shimmies - it moves just enough that I know the post it is put on will wear down if I use it. I am considering if it's worth returning it because that is generally a large hassle. I suggest getting the part from the manufacturer.

Bought this to replace the missing paddle for my Hamilton Beach premium dough and bread maker machine. Fit right on, mixed the dough just like the original.

Advertised as fitting an Oster Bread Machine. I have a model 5838 the paddle hole is too small and does not fit. People should know if they have this model don't order it.
