Yves Rocher The Oxygenating Hydrating Mask – Pure Algue | For Normal to Combination Skin | Moisturize & Revitalize | 2.5 fl oz

The instructions for this product are rather cryptic, so I have been unsure about how much of the product to use when applying this mask (a thin layer, worked into the skin? A thick layer, not rubbed in?) So far, I have erred on the side of applying a thin layer of product, lightly massaged into the skin and then left for 5 minutes, which hasn’t left any ‘excess’ to be removed, as suggested in the brief directions. I then give my face a very gentle wipe with a barely damp cloth, and when my face dries, my skin feels soft and moisturized. This approach seems to work well, but I do wonder if I’m not getting the full benefit of the mask because I should be doing something differently? The product has a lovely, soft scent - noticeable but not overwhelming - and other than my uncertainties about the ‘correct’ usage, I like this mask.

This is a seaweed moisturizing face lotion that acts like a face mask. For application, you leave it for 5 minutes, then rinse it off, and it has to be applied ideally twice a week. It is a component of 98% organic ingredients that is soft for all skin types and a complementary product to add to your existing skin routine. Note it doesn't have the traditional effect of a face mask, so maybe not be suitable for everybody, but it could be a good product for people who do not like the dry mask feel. It is a great product but the best from this well-known brand. 4-star rating for me.

I recently tried the Yves Rocher Pure Algue The Oxygenating Hydrating Mask and was disappointed with the results.Despite the product's claims of intensely moisturizing and revitalizing skin, I found the opposite to be true.After using the mask, my skin looked tired and lacked radiance.The texture of the ultra-fresh gel was pleasant, but the strong unpleasant odor of the mask was a drawback.While I appreciate that the mask is made with 98% ingredients from natural origin and respects skin pH, it did not deliver on its promises of hydration and revitalization.I would not recommend this product.

This mask feels more like a cream that you apply to your face and wash off afterwards. It’s lighter than other masks that I’m used to but after this is washed off, my face feels cleansed and soft. I use this along with the other products in the algue range for the best results and I’m mostly impressed with their effect.

This gel mask is so gentle it does not leave your skin feeling tight or red and the fragrance is very light and does not linger. I found that this hydrating mask rinced away cleanly without any traces of residue or stickiness. This is a small tube that should last a long time as a little goes a long way. I am very impressed with this product I have used other products from this line and all of them have been excellent. I would definitely recommend this gel hydrating mask.
