GTSE Laser Distance Meter, 2 Bubble Levels, Portable Digital Distance Measure Tool, LCD Display (Battery Included)

I bought this with some doubt about how good it would be but for the price I was happy to take the risk. However, I was surprised it is excellent, it's so quick and easy to use. I measured every room in our large house (over 20 rooms) in around 15 minutes or less. It was very accurate, the laser meant I wasn't struggling trying to get a tape measure around furniture or into difficult corners etc. or needing someone to hold the other end of the measure, it was easy to get a line of sight across the room, you can see the laser dot on the other wall, click the button and read the result. You can add two measurement together, I did this measure cupboards in the loft eves from the centre, again just measure one direction, push the add button and measure the other direction, the result is the total length. The spirit levels and digital level read-out shows the device is level for accurate measurements, I can't fault this device, batteries and carry handle and case makes it great value. It will now be handy for measuring around our new house. I was able to use it outside our house over large distances (20m) not easy to see the laser dot outside over such distances in the daylight but I only needed rough measurements outside so it didn't matter, it would probably be much better outside if I'd measured when it was going dark but brilliant inside. Excellent product and price.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a great really good little device for measuring and calculating distance, area, volume, height, angles and more. I found it to be very accurate in all the functions. It is a multi-functional device and does require a bit of a learning curve to get accustomed to using it correctly and to best benefit, however, it’s not that difficult and one soon gets to grips with it.Measuring distance accurately is very easy as well as accurate. My favourite method is to use it in “continuous measurement” mode, this takes several readings and constantly displays the minimum and maximum distance as well as the last measurement, so if working from a fixed point and slightly rotating the meter in a fixed plane then the minimum measurement displayed will always be most accurate since the shortest distance will be the straight and most level line. Ensuring the instrument is level is easily achieved with the built-in bubble spirit levels.I note that one reviewer has said they did not get consistent measurement when calculating height using the Pythagorean feature mode but I carried out several tests on three different targets with known heights and in all cases I found the results both accurate and consistent.I have owned and used distance meters before including ultrasonic, infrared and one laser model and I never had much confidence in them, I would often double check the readings with a tape measure, which of course rather defeats the object. This laser distance meter from GTSE is in a completely different league and I completely trust the accuracy of its measurements.This is a very clever and profoundly useful tool that will save lots of time and also lots of effort struggling with tape measures on my own, It also does the calculating for you and remembers the results.It appears to be well made and designed out of quality materials and at £27 is pretty good value.

Changed batteries and still comes up with error message. Doesn’t work after very light use. Not satisfied. Wouldn’t recommend especially if you plan to use long term.

This is an excellent and affordable tool for measuring rooms indoors when you have a surface for the laser dot to easily hit. Working outside however is totally different. Its often fiddly and very difficult to find the laser dot in sunlight. I would suggest using a good old fashioned tape measure instead.

This is the second budget priced laser measuring device we have tested, and although this one is a little bit more expensive, it is just as impressive with its accuracy. The packaging box contains everything you need to get started right away; the laser distance meter, a carrying case, a wrist lanyard, two AAA batteries, and a small instruction manual.Using the device is relatively easy, however, Keep an eye on the small built-in spirit levels for best results, and just as long as you don't expect pinpoint accuracy, it will be more than suitable for the majority of measuring tasks at home (indoors and outdoors). Bear in mind that it's always best to take multiple measurements from various points within a room, because it's rare that you'll find a house with perfectly "true" walls, floors, and ceilings. Even new builds can have slight discrepancies, so take several vertical and horizontal measurements, and for extra peace of mind, check the corners are exactly square (90 degrees).The device casing appears to be durable enough to take a few light knocks during use, but as with all equipment of this nature, they are best treated with a little care, and when not in use, stored separately from hand tools to avoid any damage.£26.99 at the time of ordering is reasonable, it's a fraction of the price of a professional laser measuring device, which makes this GTSE product both wallet friendly and perfect for DIY tasks.

This has saved me alot of in inexact measuring effort and time. It good for most measurement purposes but not for all.
