Durable and looks great
My husband really puts this kilt through it's paces, and it holds up. Great for rugged, functional use. And so looks fantastic!

Measure where he wants it.
My husband wanted a Kilt really bad, so I got him one. The dark khaki is true to color. I followed the measuring directions like it said and I'll be honest measuring around the belly starting and ending at the belly button was not good. I ordered based on that and it was way to big. I ordered a 50... sent it back and got a 46, which was just about perfect. A thon man can prob measure at the belly button, but a larger guy usually doesn't wear his pants or anything else that high on the waist. He is normally a 38 waist in pants, and the kilt that fit well was a 46... so I guess my advise would be measure where he wants it to sit on his body. It's made fairly well however my hubby is a little rough on stuff and tore the side of his pocket stuffing his cell phone in. Idk if he was to rough or if the stitching is weak. Overall for the price it's a good product, and he loves it.:-)

Every man should have one, even if it's just kicking around the house.
I needed something to kick around the house with maximum air flow, but also be rugged. I have plenty of gym shorts, but even they bind and sweat me. I took a chance and ordered this Kilt. I have to say, I'm very happy with the functionality and comfort. The price is very reasonable. It's a shame that American culture does not accept the kilt as a valid and accepted men's garment, opting to identify it as a "skirt". I don't feel feminine wearing it, nor do I wish to get in touch with my "feminine side".So, down to the nitty-gritty, the material seems very durable, but a little stiff. I washed it once and it seemed to help, so multiple washings should loosen it up. The snaps are solid, though not adjustable, so I would recommend making sure you get one that fits just slightly loose and use a belt to keep things snugged. Air flow is amazing, just short of being nude. My cat's claws cannot penetrate the material. The color is true to the image, a nice olive green. I would definitely buy again.

Great product AND service!
After wanting a kilt for many, many years, I decided to finally take the plunge and get one. I had already decided on UT Kilts based on their reputation, and I was not disappointed. Fit & finish are top notch (thick cotton, sharp, even pleats, clean stitching) and is second only to their post-game service. When I ordered mine, I mistakenly ordered a size too large (downfall of measuring oneself rather than having someone do it for me). I contacted UT on a Wednesday, sent out the big kilt on a Thursday, and by today (Monday), my new (correct fitting) kilt arrived on my doorstep. This will probably be the first of many kilts I'll own, and one thing I'm sure of is this: I will DEFINITELY be ordering from UT again.... I'd give the review 7 stars if I was able to.I did NOT receive a free/discounted product for my review... I am just that satisfied with my purchase. Many thanks to Bryce (the name on the business card) for all of his help and service.

Perfect Everyday Kilt
My 3rd utility kilt and defiantly the one I wear the most. This is the perfect "everyday" kilt that is just wash and wear. The poly-cotton material doesn't require any special washing/drying, and I just throw it in the washer with other like colors and tumble dry medium. From experience, I went with the Olive Green and Poly-Cotton material. My black kilt shows any dirt, lint, pretty much EVERYTHING. I have a 10oz 100% cotton brown duck utility kilt which looks great but is very susceptible to wrinkling, requires air drying, and with the thick fabric can be a bit "poofy" in the back when I get up from a seat.Granted, I am a bit of a novice kilt wearer, but if you are looking for a good and inexpensive first time kilt, then this is the one for you.

I'm finished with pants!
I don't think you'll find a better producer of quality utility kilts at these prices than what is offered by UTKilts. I get extremely positive feedback everywhere I go, from both men and women. I've already ordered another and will order more. This kilt looks, feels, and fits great.I recommend a quality belt and buckle to set off the overall look (UTKilts makes both for a good price).Don't neglect to measure yourself properly!I ordered one before this and it was a little too big. I measured "loose" at 36.5, so I played it safe and ordered a 38. Even though I needed the smaller size, it didn't look bad. It just sat a little low on my hips and had a slight gap in the waist. Bottom line, measure accurately and you should be good. Great product from a great company!

This is the freedom William Wallace was talking about.
I don't know anything about kilts except where they come from. I bought this one because I have to wear a brace on my leg until my knee is back operational and this seemed to be the most practical thing except going naked. I can't seem to get the measuring right but I really like this thing. For me, the measurement seems to be the same as regular pants. I wish there was a way to order them an inch or two shorter though. If they were I'd give them that fifth star.

Did not fit, kilt is not adjustable.
This was my first time trying a kilt. The kilt looks very well made, but I returned it for two reasons. The first, and minor, reason is that it must be dry cleaned. I was assuming it was the same as cargo shorts, just throw it in the washer. However, the label says "dry clean only." The main reason I returned it was the fit. I measure 42 at the bellybutton and just over 41 at the hips, so I ordered size 42. It was just loose enough at the bellybutton that I was concerned it would slide off when worn. I tried wearing a belt, but the kilt's waistline is so stiff, it was not possible to tighten enough to feel confident it would stay in place. It helped to put it on over boxers, but that defeats the purpose of wearing a kilt. One real plus is the ease of returning the kilt for a full refund with Amazon's great return policy.
