Captivating exploration of virtue formation
Soaking in every single word so exquisitely crafted by Prior in this, her latest book, On Reading Well. "Reading literature, more than informing us, forms us." Such a captivating exploration of virtue formation through some of my own personal literary friends and favourites. This book will not disappoint! It may increase the number of follow up titles on your Amazon 'wish list', but you certainly won't be disappointed (or even mind!) Thank you, Prof. Prior!

I think I’m ready to read again!
I recommend this book to any one, who like me, fell victim to YouTube, internet attention harvesting etc. I find that through those things I forgot how to pay attention and read. Just mindlessly speed reading pages and not extracting their meaning…. Just trying to finish the book ASAP and not really taking it in, rarely finishing a book before getting bored and moving on. I feel that this book has given me a good framework on interpreting lessons contained within books and thinking about the virtues or lack of in characters. I hope I can take this foreword with me! Bit of self help, bit of literary interpretation a great accessible read.

Fascinating depth
As a non literature reader I found this a superb book. The references and thus depth to unpacking each virtue was excellent. Many notes were made for future sermons !You never know I may even check out some of these books.
