Time For Kids: Volcanoes! (Time For Kids Science Scoops) Paperback – May 2, 2006

My 6 year old grandson has become fascinated with volcanoes. He has loved looking at all pics; being able to read parts of it( he' s in kindergarten). As a 42 year retired teacher , not only do I know how important reading is to children , but now most school testing is nonfiction. I was thrilled when he showed an interest ,and like the content and bright graphics in this book! Highly recommend:)

My 3 year old niece enjoyed this book very much, she is into volcanoes right now. The photos, graphics and layout are very well done, and the science is age appropriate, informative but not overwhelming. I wanted to get her something other than a story book about a volcano, I'm delighted that she now knows the difference between active, dormant and extinct volcanoes.

I purchased several of these books for my 7-year-old to help with his reading comprehension. I found the series of books to be well-written with easy to understand vocabulary. The illustrations add to the text and include great captions for the diverse types of pictures (photos, diagrams, maps)

I love this Time for Kids Volcanoes. All the Time for Kids books are great. My daughter loves them and they are very informative. It was a nice tool for her reading to learn project on volcanoes.

When read to them, it gave my grandchildren a sense of the danger (to living things) and the beauty ( the creation of new world) of a volcano.

My little "volcanologist" LOVES this book. He is only 2 1/2 but he is very into volcanoes! Perfect mix of information and fun! He has learned all different volcano facts and wants to read it every day!

My students loved this book. The pictures are a great asset.

My granddaughter love this and so glad I ordered it when she wanted to learn about volcanoes. I would highly recommend this for knowledge hungry children.
