Recently I replaced an aging Pixel 3A for a family member that needed a new phone. My requirements are simple-- relatively recent Android phone with an SD card slot and preferably an audio jack. Wireless earbuds are cool and all, but I like the option of using a $15 of wired earbuds, especially for family members that are good at losing and/or damaging things (not naming names but YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE).Most phones are moving away from SD cards and headphone jacks. Some phones have one or the other but few new phones have both. I ended up buying a Samsung phone with an SD card slot but no headphone jack since I knew I could find an adapter like this one.This was the least expensive adapter I could find, but it works very well. Plug it into the USB-C charge port and you can charge the phone and use a set of headphones at the same time. It worked fine the first time and has been working fine ever since.Sound quality is good, at least as good as the inexpensive earbuds that are used with it. Seems to charge fine as well, though I don't know if it is compatible with fast charging.For the price, this and a set of cheap earbuds are two excellent additions to your everyday carry. They take up almost no room and you can get both for about $20. If your wireless earbuds run out of charge, get lost, whatever, you can pull these out and still do everything you need to do.

I am not sure who thought it was a good idea to make the headphones and charging cable share a port, but I think that was stupid! I guess they were looking for a way to force people to buy more high end ear buds. But this adapter, as awkward as it can be, enables me to use my headphones and charge my phone at the same time. Note that the headphone jack is not a type C USB, so the set that likely came with your phone will not work with it. You will need the old kind, from back when you were able to charge your phone and use your headphones at the same time.

I bought this to work with my Samsung S23 and it worked great. I recently purchased a Microsoft Surface Pro 9 and it does not. I also tried it with my wife's new iPhone 15 Pro (USB-C). It does not work with the iPhone 15 Pro. I never bought it for that purpose, but I was bummed it did not. I still gave it 5 stars because it worked as described.

So, I have a rediculous cell phone haha it actually doesn't have a headphone jack and there was a few times I really wished I had them. So I came to good ole Amazon and I found this awesome gizmo. I recieved it and tried it out and it works great 👍 I am absolutely impressed that there are these things available actually.... who knew haha 10 out of 10 would recommend if you have a device that doesn't have a headphone jack and you need one... give this a go. You won't be disappointed 🤗

Purchased this earphone/charging dongle because my phone has no ear phone connection, and I like to listen to shows at night while my husband sleeps & the phone is charging.... The charging portion of the dongle has worked perfectly, no issues. The earphone part is tricky. First, the sound has to be turned up past the "too loud" warning to hear well. Second, it has to be connected just right, otherwise the audio comes out of the phone-not what I want, it wakes my husband up (especially because it's turned up!)! This has happened twice, briefly, until I jiggle the connection and the audio comes thru the earphones again. Then don't move!! Or turn off the sound when you move, in case it jiggles the connection again. That way no audio will come out of the phone... Tricky, but I'm making it work. Wish I wasnt always worried about it disconnecting & waking up my husband.Update: As of Dec 2024, the earphone doesn't work at all, and it charges sometimes, but mostly doesn't. Going into the trash.

I've had this for a little over a month now and the first couple of days I had it it worked perfectly. But after a few days it started cutting out if I moved. It was just every once in awhile at first and now it's all the time. If I don't keep myself or the cord still, any sudden movement can make it cut out and my music will stop playing. Sometimes if I just jiggle it I can get it to start again but sometimes I have to unplug and plug it back in. Or sometimes I'll have to unplug and turn it around and plug it back in. Mine might just be a dud so I might try again or maybe I'll try a different one. But when it does work, it does work well. I am able to charge my phone and listen to my headphones at the same time. And if I forget my Bluetooth headphones I can use my backup headphones at work and they save the day. It's just annoying to have to constantly restart my music.
