Purchased as a gift. They are very happy with the movie.

Love this movie!

I have been looking for this movie for ages. It has been almost impossible to find a copy that will play on American DVD players. The reproduction is very good. It runs about 30-35 minutes shorter than the original movie that I believe was made for TV as it appears in box format. But the story is still good and has great actors in it.

Great movie about four women that take on the would of the mafia. They see loved ones die and children lost yet they manage to find a way to keep on keeping on. They are survivors through it all and they come out on top of the game. They stick together and are not embarrassed to be themselves. Most importantly, they don't try to act like men. They do it in a female style, you know classy and sexy. I highly recommend this movie to mafia buffs and to anyone who just loves women's conversations and interactions.

Search for this movie on dvd for quite some time. Only to be let down that it lacked a lot of footage which helps round out the story. I don't unstand why it is so hard to reproduce any movie like it originally was. Any streaming service should proud to release it as a multiple episodes format. Still a joy to watch the power of all the actresses.

If you are like me and you love to watch my family movies this movie is right up your alley although it does give the female version that's what makes it that much more interesting it is a wonderful movie I loved it

fair warning, the sad part is this is the edited version rather than the longer version that was aired on tv as the mini series which is the one i fell in love with and whole reason i wanted it on dvd.. but the good part is, at least you can watch this shortened version on dvd since you'll never see it on tv again lol. it's a great ensemble cast with the mafia life from the female POV where they all end up being widows seeking revenge. james marsden is great in his role too, and he's been a long time crush for me so he's a nice bonus :)

I REMEMBER WATCHING THIS ABOUT TEN YEARS AGO AND THOROUGHLY REMEMBER WHAT A SHOCKING FILM THIS WAS. IT HAS SUCH SHOCKING SCENES AND THE ACTING FROM ALL CHARACTERS COULDNT BE BETTER. IT IS ABOUT FIVE BEAUTIFUL WOMEN WHO BELONG TO THE LUCIANO FAMILY AND OVER GREED AND PRIDE THEIR LOVED ONED ARE BRUTALLY MURDERED BY OPPOSING GROUPS WHO WANT THEIR ASSETS. SOME SCENES ARE TERRIFYING AND HARD TO WATCH SO BEWARE. IT IS A SAD MOVIE WITH AN INTACT STORYLINE ALL THROUGHOUT AND IM SURE YOU WOULD ENJOY IT AS A FAMILY AND IF YOURE INTO CRIME DRAMA.
