A Dehumidifier That Is Affordable, Useful, Mobile, and Attractive
This is a very nice dehumidifier, attractive in appearance and pretty easy to operate. It is a bit smaller than an ice machine, quite a bit smaller than most air cleaners, and a lot quieter than both. It's also not too heavy to carry from one room to another, with a recess in the unit for placing one's hand to do the carry.I purchased my unit from Amazon the second week of March 2022, at a time of cool weather. However, it will operate at a wide range of temperatures and in different modes that are user-selectable. I initially chose automatic operation, since that is easiest, plus I liked the default settings.Unpacking was straightforward, which showed the dehumidifier, an overflow siphoning tube that I did not plan to use yet, and the user manual, which I carefully read. This instruction manual, which is fairly well written, details many warnings, most of which are obvious and can be safely skimmed. So, I was now ready to go and plug it in using the AC adapter.I obtained this unit with my basement in mind, partly because that is its stated purpose, and partly because I imagined the basement would need the unit more. However, one day later I found out that it could be better used upstairs, owing to higher humidity levels there. In fact, it is only because of this unit that I was even aware of the higher humidity upstairs! The LED touch panel includes a number of controls, one of which is a timer offering up to 12 hours of operation. Leaving it as is on startup keeps it on indefinitely, running automatically. Because there are both air intake and outtake blowers, one should clean the air filter every couple weeks. (If one does not use it a lot, I believe that the air filter can probably be left in without cleaning for slightly longer periods safely.) Having owned air cleaners that may require the purchase of new filters, I was glad to see that this dehumidifier's filter just needs an easy, quick clean, not buying a new filter. There are several options for power, speed, and even a child lock on the LED. The siphon tube that I mentioned earlier is for those who wish to have the unit drain its collected water to a larger bucket. Personally, I have not felt the need for that. Otherwise, the unit will notify you with an indicator light and/or an alarm to alert you when the collected water has reached the full level. At some point I believe the unit shuts off if left on while the water collector is filled. The outside of the unit also features a large colored ring that shows as red, blue, or green when on. When I later plugged in the dehumidifier downstairs, I immediately noticed that the ring was now blue. Earlier, it had been red while the unit was upstairs. That color signified that the room upstairs was more humid, and because of that, I'm now planning on using it upstairs to control the higher humidity. One of the bonus features that the manual suggests is using the dehumidifier to help dry clothes. In theory, this sounds plausible, but surely slower. At first I thought that this would not be very practical for me. On the other hand, I do know that there will be times when the unit is downstairs with me and I will have some damp clothes but don't want to have to go upstairs just to dry them.Making the choice for any dehumidifier and this one in particular can be challenging, as there are so many choices. Prices range from quite a bit under a hundred dollars up to a thousand dollars or more! At the $140 price point, I found this one at the much lower end of the range, perfect for my budget. I'm pleased to note that it also seems perfect for my needs as well. I do highly recommend it for its moderate price, attractiveness, options & features, mobility, performance, and ease of operation.Disclosure Notices: I received a complimentary evaluation unit, but I have NOT been paid for this review. My rating accurately reflects my true opinion of the product, its features, its operation, and its price. I also acknowledge that my PhD in mathematics alone does not make me an expert on dehumidifiers. However, I have been reviewing technological products for 40 years, from computers to ice-makers. It is on this basis that I have given a strong recommendation.

has been working great so far.. but came with defective casing
UPDATE (7.3.2022) ::: have this running pretty much 24/7 and haven't had any issues.. I empty it 1-2 times a day. Love how small it is.. I really hope this lil guy lasts for years to come.UPDATE (6.14.2022) ::: been running this for about a week, 24/7.. and I've been pretty happy with it. I'm having to empty the bucket about every 12 hours or two times a day. I run it on continuous mode.. not really sure if the built-in humidity monitor is accurate tho.. i feel like it's not.. but that's not an issue since I just run it on continuous.---------. Like another review (whom also posted a photo for reference) my unit came with the enclosure not aligned and the locking tabs, which were supposed to be inside, were pushed out and visible on the outside. (as you can see in "J"s review on May 5 2022. I have the exact same issue. I am inclined to believe that this is probably a manufacturing defect where the casing just wasn't put on properly? My unit came in working condition and has been a good little dehumidifier.. it's filled up the tank about 2 times in the last 2 days. I hope the internal hardware is not damaged or defective. Hopefully the outside casing does not reflect how the inside hardware was put together.I had good luck with a h0melabs dehumidifier and it's been working for 2-3 years without issues... so I took another gamble with another off-brand Chinese brand and this one seems to be pretty good quality other than the casing defect. However.. I don't think the casing defect is that big of a deal if the internal hardware is working properly... I mean that's what the casing is for.. to protect the inside hardware.Buyers need to keep in mind that this is a small unit. If you're looking for a small unit that works pretty well.. this is probably a good solution. imo, it's not very noisy. People need to understand that most dehumidifiers are going to generate noise..I can't really comment on the humidity sensor since I don't have an accurate reference to compare with.I'd recommend this if you need something for a bedroom. Just make sure you know how small this is and if you think you're going to need to change the tank a lot.. buy a larger unit. Read the description and know what you're buying. for 20-30$, one could buy a much larger unit at the current price of $150. I got this for $120 and I think that's the perfect price for something of this caliber.I will update the review if this unit stops working or starts giving me problems.

Working well
This dehumidifier has been running virtually continuously for several months. No issues. Has added very little to my power bill. Certainly worth drying out my crawl space.

Definitely a good dehumidifier
Definitely a good dehumidifier, does it’s job well. We use it in a master bathroom. Although it is very difficult to proper clean the water tank ~ as seen in my photo~ gets very sluggy with black mildew and due to many crevices it’s almost impossible to get that completely clean. I have tried using an old toothbrush and still can’t get it all. The controls are somewhat explainable yet ours doesn’t seem to readjust to resetting a new humidity to shut off when reached. Instruction manual somewhat lacking.

Dehumidifier Review
I purchased this dehumidifier in early May 2022. Positives: It is small, which is nice. It doesn't take up as much space as the larger ones. It is also very quiet. I can work it into a few other places in a room. The larger ones are a bit more restrictive. The water reservoir is small and easy to handle/empty. Negatives: It fills up in a day, so it needs dumped daily.

Good for small room
Bought item for basement. It is undersized for large basement. Because basement floor is below the water line I couldn't use the continuous line to evacuate the collection of water making it essential to empty at least three times a day.I simply overestimated the size of the dehumidifier (not the fault of the product). It is quite and efficient in its current (more isolated basement location).

Not for large areas.
This works ok for the small room I use it in but this would not be good for a room much larger than 10x10 feet. There's no way I would use this in my large basement. The unit has decent settings and seems durable so far. Do not buy this for any medium to large areas it will not keep up.
