I picked this timer up to automate some outdoor equipment, and overall I'm really happy with it. It feels sturdy, the weatherproof cover is nice, and it's been working as expected. The only thing that threw me off at first was the setup. The instructions and dial can seem a little confusing if you've never used a mechanical timer before. I had to spend a few minutes figuring out how the tabs and current time line up. Once it clicked, though, it was incredibly simple to use. After the initial setup, changing the schedule only takes a few seconds.

Sometimes you just need to use the KISS methodology. Keep it simple stupid. I use this on my 1.5HP pool pump to alternate powering on and off on 2 hour intervals vs running strictly at night or day to cut back on power usage. The mechanical timer works perfect. The digital timers would not allow for this configuration. All of the digital timers seemed to be a set time on and set time off but no ability to go intermittent. The adjustments on this timer allow for more control and flexibility the old fashioned way.

Our neighbors didn't appreciate the sound of our fountain all night long. So I attached this. Now it comes on in the morning and turns off at 7:30pm. They are happy, we are happy. Love it.

Seems to do the job so far. The dial of the timer is smaller than I thought it would be, but it works fine. The last outdoor timer I had (also from Amazon) lasted several years and had a larger timer dial and a clear (see through) hinged front. Maybe this manufacturer could improve their design. Also, the product box containing the timer arrived a bit smashed up, but no impact to the contents, so no biggie.

These timers are amazing! I bought a set for my larger fish tank, one set to turn on my CO2 and the other to simultaneously turn off my air pump. Aquatic plants need co2 during the day for photosynthesis, but at night they need oxygen. These is the perfect solution to avoid having to go this manually. And, because these timers have a 6” long cable extension, I don’t have to take up any unnecessary vital so so space in my power strip!

The 30‑minute increment timekeeping settings are accurate enough for my needs, and installation was straightforward as long as you follow the pin‑setting instructions. Although the unit is made of plastic and not as heavy‑duty as I initially expected, it feels solid and operates silently. The black housing blends in nicely outdoors and doesn’t draw attention, and the covered dial helps keep dust and debris out of the mechanism. Overall, it’s a functional, affordable outdoor‑rated timer. This evaluation is based on initial impressions, as the timer has been installed for less than a week, but so far it’s performing as expected.

Stopped working but customer service was very helpful and after a couple emails are sending me a replacement. Was very impressed originally said seems sturdy, I like features like turning my fountain on and off at two different times in the day.
