Logitech really screwed up the final revision of the M110
First and foremost, I am not faulting Amazon or "Sole Providers/Newtech Wholesalers, LLC" for the quality of the product. There was an initial mishap with the wrong product being shipped, but that was cleared up promptly. The reason for my one-star review is entirely Logitech's fault. I ordered a Logitech M110 (combination USB/PS2 mouse), to be shared with my Chromebook (USB-only) and my DOSbook (PS/2 only). According to my own personal experience with a much older M110, and the Amazon product page, and the Logitech support page, it works properly through both USB and PS/2 interfaces. It is also a discontinued model. When it was delivered, there was no sign of a PS/2 adapter plug in the package. After spending time on the phone with Logitech technical support, they verified that the adapter was no longer shipped, but I did not get any answer on whether or not it would work with an adapter (other Logitech USB-only mice do not). So I gambled. I broke the seal on the package, and tested it with two different PS/2 adapters. It failed to work with either of them. Fortunately, I was able to make it work on a USB socket on the computer my older M110 was plugged into, so all was not lost, but that does not change the fact that the final revision of the M110 (the "M110S") is NOT a REAL M110, in that it is NOT a combination USB/PS2 mouse.

Excellent mouse with awful scroll wheel
Do you ever get a product that is almost perfect, but has one flaw that makes it useless? Logitech M110 is one of those. It was supposed to be a replacement for my aging (but still excellent) Logitech M100. I was very impressed how quiet the mouse buttons were and still offered a satisfying click feel under the finger. Then I tried the scroll wheel. It's rubberized on M100, however M110 features one made of hard plastic, making it very slippery and useless for someone who uses it a lots (especially with browsers) I can deal with clicking sound of M100, but I just won't accept non-functional scroll wheel. However, if you are looking for comfortable mouse that is incredibly quiet and you don't have need for the scroll wheel, this model might be just for you.
