Nothing bad to say
I was looking to set my phone up for wireless charging, but went with this cable instead. I've heard about too many issues concerning the dependability of wireless chargers. Charging might be slow. Your phone might need to sit just right on the charging pad. I didn't want to carry a pad around when I traveled. I also have a magnetic sleeve on my phone that holds it in my phone case and no doubt the sleeve would interfere with wireless charging. Repeatedly plugging a regular micro cable into my phones charge port was causing wear and tear on the port and it was getting more difficult to ease the plug into the charge port. This cable was the ticket. Just slip that tiny little plug into your phones charging port and leave it there. You'll forget it's even there. Plug the cable into your charger. The end of the cable has a small LED light that is always lit when the cable is plugged into your charger. It lets you know there is power there and makes the cable easy to find in the dark. Being magnetic is a super plus. I just move the end of the cable near the plug in my phone and it snaps into place and I hear a little tinkle from my phone to tell me it's charging. I've woken up in the night remembering I forgot to hook my phone to the charger. I had to get up, turn the light on so I can see which way to put my old cable into my phones charge port. This way. No, that way. No, this way. (There's something to be said for type-c cables which no doubt my next phone will have.) Now, I wake up at night, I pick up the lit up end of the charge cable and put it near the charge port on my phone and it snaps into place. No hassle and no turning the lights on in the middle of the night. The cable itself is of very good quality. Ever have your phone charging then reach over, pick it and walk away without disconnecting the charge cable? Too many times and you damage the cable and even worse your phone. Can't happen here. I had to train myself to accept that even though my phone is charging, I can just pick it up and walk away. The cable is connected magnetically so it just pops off. No damage. Of course, this cable is fine for traveling and can plug into any USB port to charge your phone. My only recommendation to you is to get the longer version of the cable as I did. I've had this cable over three months with no issues. Oh, and mine came with a little plastic tool to pop that little plug out of your phone should you need to.

Great item! I enjoyed the convenience of this so much. Its really simple, just plug & play thats all! Magnets are really strong & my Turbo Charging feature works on my phone (Android Turbo 2).

Great idea but the charging rate slows down or even stops for no reason
I saw the magnetic cables/connectors and thought they were a great idea. I ordered the six foot cable and put the micro-USB connector that came with it on my Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. It fit perfectly and within seconds I was charging my Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. However, after letting my device charge for a while, I went back and checked my Kindle Fire HDX and it no longer showed that it was charging. The device no longer showed the charging icon (the little lightning bolt symbol over the battery icon). I checked the cable and it appeared to still be securely connected to the micro-USB connector in my device. I disconnected the cable and reconnected it. I checked and now the device showed that it was charging once again. I've checked the charging status of the device periodically over the last couple of days and it's very hit or miss as to whether the cable is actually charging my device or not eventhough it's connected. The connection "seems" foolproof with the magnetic connection. It "should" simply snap into place and the five pins "should" automatically connect each and every time making a secure connection but for some reason they don't, at least not consistently. So, while I love the idea and the ease of use of the magnetic connector, I can only give it two stars right now. It's not much good if you have to keep checking to see whether your charging cable is actually CHARGING.One time, I connected the cable and made sure the device was charging. I came back a few hours later and checked the battery status and it was no longer charging (no lightning bolt symbol on the screen). However, the battery was nowhere near full. I went into my Battery app which shows a history/graph of the battery charging progress over time. I learned that the cable STARTED OUT charging and charged for about an hour and then it stopped charging. The rest of the time it was connected but not charging. In that time the device hadn't been moved so there was absolutely no reason for it to somehow have come loose or anything. I just stopped charging on it's own. Finally, I have my device charging right now and when I went to check to make sure it was "actually" charging there was a notification on my device that says, "Fire is connected to a low power charger. Your fire may not charge while in use. If you leave it connected, it will charge slowly while the device is asleep. My device is (and has been) connected to an Amazon Powerfast charger (plugged into an electrical outlet) so it's NOT connected to a "low power charger" (like a USB port) as it seems to think it is. I can only assume it is because of the new cable and adapter that this messages is coming up. It's really to bad. It's a great idea. Perhaps I got a bad cable or connector, I'm not sure.I really wished I hadn't thrown the box it shipped in away. Normally I keep things like that until I'm sure I won't have to send an item back. But, with something as simple and straightforward as a cable I didn't think there would be any need to send it back.

Charges the device nicely when stationary, however chord magnet is not strong enough
Nice idea, works good for charging when device is stationary. Difficulty staying connected to device as the magnet is not strong enough, thus hard to hold while charging and if laid down, must be careful to place on large enough flat surface that chord does not bend as the magnet will disconnect. We had initially planned to purchase several of these, as we liked the concept, but the magnet is not strong enough to stay connected while plugged into the car. Only good for stationary charging at home.
