The media could not be loaded.  Evo Fam’ I daily a evo 9 and at the Last track day, I needed to fix some things under the hood, and it was wind and light rain, old school hood rod wasn’t doing a good job of keeping the hood from hitting me in the head, installing these carbon hood struts, life changing and they look dope! Plus just the ease of opening the hood with out propping it open with the old rod is just convenient!P.S- hood mount direct bolt on, fender placement, needs a bit of creative ingenuity, nothing random washers, lock washers, rubber shims, or longer bolts wont fix! Other than that.. 10/10!

So the fittings to attached the strut are just a simple hex welded to a plate. That hex is not flush with the plate so it doesn't fit great on the car. And you have to tighten it PRETTY tight to make sure it doesn't move when opening or closing the hood. This then causes some amount of stress/damage to the hood and quarter panels.As someone who loves my lancer dearly, it's a shame I have to slightly dent/damage it in order to have these. But they are nice once installed.
