Short range
The range on these probably about 40 or 50 feet, which seems to be about half the distance of other garage door openers we've had. In the end they work fine, though we're typically unable to get the garage door open before we arrive at the door and have to wait a few seconds -- not a big deal, though my preference would be a door opener with a little more range.

great price and works great
These work great for an old Genie garage door opener. Change the dip switches and the black switch and it works perfect. Has a longer range than the original. World buy again.

Its smaller than the original and the vizor clip is a bit different but it works great. I like it.

Works great but you have to pay attention
This remote has the internal Dip switches. There are 12 of them in the remote, and 12 of them on the power unit in the garage. I had all the switches properly aligned, and the remote still didn't operate the door. Vital point: there is one ADDITIONAL switch at the end of the row of DiP switches in the remote. It also has an up/down position. When I switched it from up to down, voila! The door and remote worked perfectly. I don't know what it is--a frequency control, perhaps? But I didn't see it mentioned anywhere. So, if you set your 12 switches correctly and the door still doesn't work, look for the 13th switch! Works great now.
