I have shelves with a very similar lip as the one in the photo. Now the photo looks like the the lock won't shut on that particular shelf am I wrong?

It locks well.. my shelves are the same.. my problem is that mine are freezer shelves and the plastic freezes and breaks if you try to open them.

Can you open and move these around or are they permanent once locked? I want to be able to move them around shelves as needed.
