Sturdy mount. Very easy to install.

So, in my opinion, this is a mandatory upgrade to the Arlo cameras. Only reason for the drop to 4 instead of 5 is like someone else said1) the screws and anchors that come with it are trash. You'll need to upgrade. Not expensive but a bit of a pain having to come off the ladder and run to the store and back.1a) if you do go with those screws and anchors, there are no instructions that give you a drill bit size so you'll have to figure it out (sorry I forgot what size I used before I ditched those cheap ones for better ones).2) it is a bit frustrating having that locking "nut" to lock the camera in place. Like someone else said you get your camera placed where you like it then you tighten it down and it shifts so you have to play a bit.Aside from those inconveniences, it really is a great upgrade. You can really get better and more customized views from your camera. I'm a bit anal on how I like them aimed so this was much needed.

Third review for Wasserstein because they deserve the coverage. I purchased the largest Arlo system publicly available at a large brand electronics store recently. It contained the base station, attachment cables for ethernet and power, six cameras and six half-moon mounts, and one outdoor mount. Well, that was not going to work for what I needed to do. But, if you look up Arlo accessory products, let's just say they are very proud of their name and use it to their product's price point. I randomly found Wasserstein on here, my go-to for most purchases and purchased a single mount to fix a problem I had mounting my rear door camera. The table/ceiling mount fit the bill and was half or less the price of an Arlo one. But, I discovered it was constructed EXACTLY the same and with just as much attention to detail. A few days later I received an email from Chris at Wasserstein. He inquired as to whether their product was of good quality and fit my bill (obviously it did). I replied to him that I have had very few, if any, companies reach out first to me after a purchase to make sure there was nothing wrong upon the products arrival and use. That was impressive. I promised to order again just for that reason. The next order included these mounts and the three pack of silicone skins. I had a question about the skins - answered immediately and even gave other options for outdoor concealment. I chose these mounts because they also come in different colors and if you plan on mounting your expensive cameras in an outdoor space where they can easily be reached, the included magnetic mount is not what you want. You want this tightly screwed in version, made of quality material that cannot be snatched off of your home. If you have ever been in a combat environment, there is something referred to as "540-degree control". Simply put, this mount will go up, down, left, right, and every degree in between and securely stay there even during, as I recently discovered, hurricane strength winds. (Thanks, "Nate"). The only weakness for this mount is what you attach it with. I like to upgrade that kind of hardware unless you actually use it indoors. I'll come back in a few weeks and purchase those concealment items Chris and I spoke about.

***Updated***So...these mounts installed relatively easily. A buddy has the Arlo brand and they are clearly made of better materials. They move more smoothly so he can tighten them down without repositioning his cameras. Mine took a little effort. No big deal for the cost saving. They do rust though! And it discolored the camera badly! Now the threaded connection in the camera is rusted too and it’s more difficult to remove. The Arlo brand still has not rusted. If I were to know then what I know now I’d spend the extra money and get the Arlo brand.****original****I’m going to start by saying I love the Wasserstein products. Why would I buy a single Arlo bracket or charger for twice what I could buy the Wasserstein brand for. I do recognize the slight differences but if it performs the same I’d rather save the money.These brackets are well made. Sturdy. Easy to install into the wood surfaces outside my house. Only one issue I found: there are some burrs around the unfinished metal where the two pieces couple together. I solved this with a light grade sandpaper. Sepperate the peeves of the mount and look for the rough-looking flange side the mates under the bell side of the coupling. Lightly sand it smooth. Boom. Done. Quality product. Quality material. Mostly quality craftsmenship. I bought my first two pack and discovered this minor problem. That didn’t stop me from buying another two pack when I increased my number of cameras.I also really like the charger. Got a great deal on that too. Next I’ll likely buy the outdoor power adapter.

The bracket has been useful four mounting a weather station module. Time still will show how weather resistant it is. So far since a few weeks this does the job holding the module in the right way as expected.
