Had this for several years, still works fine. Good value for the money.

Buddy needed new pump on well --- to much for local service and parts. This seemed like it should plug and play --- which it did. Install was straight forward --- hauling up old pump and not letting anything fall in to well is only tricky part. 4 hands and a little PVC background, simple electrical --- Recomend look shallow well jet pumps so, you know how they work and what to expect.Priming the pump was only challenge and that added a bit of confusion --- but instructions help and working the fill valve at pump --- stick with it.Costs my buddy 1/2 or less in product and a freebie on install. Recommend and we figured --- if it lasts a years --- we are way ahead. Lots of pressure, its siting in down about 30+ feet and lifts to tank, another 20 ft.

I’m having trouble getting it to reach enough pressure to shut off. I have new pressure tank and has 38psi air pressure. Any ideas what it could be?

The 3/4" line runs 50' in lake then 25'uphill and into cottage. TIPS: Throw away the rubber gasket that came with pump, and just use a tube of "gasket maker" on each piece to be connected on front of pump, wait two minutes before assembly, then tighten the two bolts. SECOND , in order to prime the pump, the 1 1/4" plug in top of pump is where you must pour water in to prime it. You must install a check valve a short way from the pump. The small hole is on top of pump is an air bleeder. You CAN NOT PRIME PUMP USING SMALL HOLE. At the bottom of the hill, I cut the 3/4" pex line and added a tee, and a gate valve with a female hose adapter. By connecting a hose I was able to fill the entire line with water before priming the pump. I ran a dedicated 110 volt line from panel box. The pump should be on its own 20 amp breaker. It runs fine on 110, but it would be better to run a 240. Last thing, the pump is wired for 110, but if you use 110 there is a little switch you move to 110, it comes set for 220. The cut in pressure is 20lbs, cut out pressure is 40, so the air tank needs to be pumped up to 18lbs. The pump works fine, great value for the money. I also purchased a separate kit with pressure gauge, relief valve and tee for connections to pressure tank. I made the job easy. I started by using 8 large cinder blocks stacked 4 wide and two high for a platform. Five stars for the pump!!!!

I didn't want to spend $400 at Tractor Supply to replace an old Meyer (?) pump at our rental cabin, so I took a chance on this. Had no idea what I was doing, but a couple of YouTube vids helped out.Runs like a champ!Oh... make sure your ballast tank has the right amount of pressure.

1. The most pressure I could get out of the pump (while holding the switch contacts closed) was 15-20 psi pumping from a water tank at ground level. 2. The attached pressure switch is useless, it does nothing but cycle on/off/on/off rapidly. No amount of adjusting it would bring it back to normal behavior. I think part of the problem is the plastic tube which goes from the switch base over to the pump casing was installed completely kinked, so pressure temporarily passes through it then it folds back on itself. Also the switch base is proprietary with the hose nipple built in, you can't buy a standard switch to put on it without re-doing the link hose and adaptors. 3. The switch wasn't even close to being adjusted into a 30/50 pressure switching behavior. 4. As other reviews have stated, the thin rubber gasket used under the shallow well adapter nose is very difficult to get to stay in place and seal well. I managed it the 2nd time around because I was careful and took great efforts. Returning.

I had a brand name pump pulled from my cisterns to provide household water pressure. Unfortunately, it started to leak. When looking for a replacement, I found this Acquaer pump at a significant lower price that the direct brand name replacement. I decided to give it a try. The construction of the pump is pretty much identical to my previous pump. Installation was pretty easy and straight forward. It was a direct drop in replacement for my previous pump. The only negative thing that I can think to mention is that the switch for the 220/110 is located inside the plastic housing next to the pressure switch. The voltage selection switch is just laying inside this housing and is not mounted. The connections were protected with heat shrink insulation, but I would have like to have seen that switch mounted. Priming the pump was easy and once primed, it immediately started building pressure in my pressure tank. When operating, the Acquaer pump produces the same amount of noise as my previous pump. I have had the Acquaer for over a month now and it is performing just as well as the brand name pump I had previously. As long as I get at least 5 years out of this pump, I will be happy. If you are looking for a pressure pump or a shallow well pump, take a serious look at the Acquaer.
