Well built, easy to read fuel pressure gauge.
My e46 BMW wouldn't idle and would die not long after starting. I replaced the fuel filter but still no dice. I picked up the OTC 5630 fuel pressure test kit and was able to connect right up to the Schrader valve on the fuel rail. This sturdy, easy to read gauge showed I had a huge loss of fuel pressure which led me to replace my low pressure fuel pump under the back seat. After plugging everything back in the gauge read 55psi and the car was happy again. Great to have a handy tool like this in the tool box, and the price made it a great value. The drain tube is super long and the line to the valve fitting is anything but flimsy.

Nice Pressure Gage
Worked great without any issues. Helped me diagnose a bad fuel pump in my 2004 Sierra. A little pricy, but worth the extra $$. I don't like buying cheap tools. You'll be happy with this one.

I like it, very happy with the purchase decision, product works very well.
Very good value for money. Very good construction quality. Brass work is real nice. Very nice rubber case around gauge. Gauge uses excellent clear labeling and numbers, an attractive blue and white color scheme. This tool told me in 60 seconds that I had good pressure (40 psi). Although it appear.s it is made in China, it has a feel and quality that seems like it could rival anything in the USA for the same amount of money. It has the OTC brand name, so I trusted it on that basis when I ordered it. The gauge itself is very sturdy and very responsive. There is no "lazyness" in the gauge, and it reacts to pressure changes immediately. I used it on my 1997 Ford F-150 4.6L, and I guess the schrader valve on the Ford fuel rail is different from some others. I read that this valve requires a special, smaller attachment fitting. The adapter fitting was included with this gauge, as advertised, and it worked well. Be very careful not to loose it. It is a small brass adapter. I am just going to always keep it screwed onto the hose. The only thing I would recommend they change is to make the hose a couple feet longer. It is about 2 feet long, or so. Plenty good for working under the hood, but not long enough to see from inside the vehicle while cranking or running. The valve body (the brass piece the gauge is mounted to) has a very nice schrader valve, making it very easy to release the pressure in the gauge or fuel line. There is a thin clear vinyl hose, appx 6 feet long, that carry's away any draining fuel. The vinyl hose has a bit of coil to it, from being wrapped up during packaging, but most of that can be stretched out, I imagine. Keep in mind this gauge kit is only meant to be used on schrader style test ports on fuel rails. It does not attach to injectors in any way, and it is not meant for "T'ing" into a rubber fuel line. It CAN be used in "T'ing" configurations, but you'll have to get all the hardware for the T section from other sources, and also plumb in the proper schrader style valve for this gauge hose to screw onto. The product does not come with any kind of case, which is fine with me, as that would have added cost to it. I recommend getting some kind of general purpose good quality plastic case to keep this tool in. I don't see why it can't last me 20 years or more, if I take care of it. Overall, I would rate this a 5 out of 5. Aside from a longer hose, I can't think of anything I would do to improve it.

Great cheap diagnostic tool
Many people complain about how this tool only works on a schrader valve, and that is mostly true BUT 99% of cars built in the last 15 years have a schraeder style valve for this purpose. I work on mostly older European cars and it is either a schraeder valve or I have to splice into a fuel line. My only regret is not spending a bit more to get a gauge with a case. For some mechanics that is not a problem but I don't have a permament tool location so even a blow-molded case would have been nice (have to pay about double and get more pieces to get the case from OTC but it is also here in Amazon) The gauge is easy to read. The pressure relief is a must have, unless you like making a mess of your car. Well worth the money even for a shade-tree mechanic!

Fell apart after 3 uses
Junk. The Schrader valve adapter inside rubber/plastic body fell apart after 3 uses. I submitted a warranty claim and it's been a week, no reply. I found another adapter and the rubber gasket inside the fuel pressure gauge itself fell off together with the metal piece that presses on the Schrader valve. Just outside of Amazon's 30 days free return window. EDIT: The replacement valve AND new pressure tester arrived within a week of my complaint. I am revising the review to 3 starts for customer service but product still fell apart initially within a few weeks of purchase so cannot give it a better review.

Works as intended.
Needed a fuel pressure tester for work. Needed to do a fuel pressure test on a 2007 Silverado, I didn't want a fuel pressure tester that was overly expensive but didn't want something that was cheap and inaccurate. I thought this one was a good fit because i have other OTC tools and thought this would be work. When i received the tool, i noticed one thing is only comes in a package and no case. I like cases so the tool doesn't get damaged and clean, i used the package for a while but getting some fuel in the package eats the cardboard so that ended quickly. However the tool itself, i do wish the tool had some adapters for other makes and models. The screw type worked in my application but not all vehicles used that. I tired using the screw type on a ford the the threads were different. This tool doesn't have the ability to add adapters so somewhat limited to specific vehicles. For most Chevrolets this will work. Otherwise for others i cannot say. I can say though this is fairly accurate, it's a decent tool and built well i have had no problems. If your looking for a universal tool i would look else where, this is still a decent tool and happy with it as of now.
