Brilliant set of pencils
Brilliant, brilliant pencils, and amazing for uk market now you can buy the 150 set with open stock from Derwent website. Was considering buying Prismacolour, but getting this set at a great offer price on Amazon, has convinced me otherwise, and great performance from the pencils so far. They sharpen really well to a strong point, have sharpened and swatched the whole set with no breakages, and the colours are creamy and vibrant. My absolute go to pencils now....

Truly, madly, deeply
I am so in love with these pencils, I am thinking of running away with them. Hubby can keep the house and the dogs, I just want my Chromaflows and my colouring books. The guys who make prismas must be weeping over their coffee.Fabulous colours - check out the Mango - and lovely creamy texture that doesn't crumble, and virtually layers and blends itself. Nice finish on the barrel too. Not as fine as polychromos, but nicer than prismas, which always feel cheaper in the hand than they should. If I had to find fault it would be the lack of reds, which is a tad disappointing and the only areas where prismas win. However, there is a lovely choice of purply pinky shades. Can't leave them alone! I think I have found the perfect pencil at last.

Vibrancy
I love these pencils for creamy texture, lay down and colours BUT...9 out of 24 leads aren't centred, one is cracked. The wood splinters easily too-not sure what wood is used. I would have given a 3 for these issues if it weren't for the fact they really do have good colours, even with 24 I'm able to get a lot done as they layer and mix well, although I think a 36 set would've been better. None are gritty either and they hold a good point too. The price is fair if it just happens I got a dodgy set!

Nice pencils and a reasonable selection of colours
I like the tin they came in and the colour selection. I have used these pencils before, so know what to expect. They are very soft and creamy and require careful sharpening. One did arrive with a broken point, but this is a common problem with very soft pencils. My only other criticism is the plastic insert trays, which seem a bit flimsy and may not survive much use. Having said that the pencils are lovely to use and lay down colour well with minimal pressure, they also blend really well.

Lovely soft pencils - easy to blend - high quality
Just received this 72 set of coloured pencils. Thanks Amazon for such speedy service. Received in less than a week from the U.K. to Canada with standard delivery! These coloured pencils from Derwent are good quality. I had the 24 set and it’s definitely worth it to have expanded it to 72. Lots of lovely greys in the set. All the colours are rich and blend extremely well. Plus although not all are lightfast, they have been tested for lightfastness so artists can use them to sell their art.The only drawback I’ve had with the 24 set was some breakage. Make sure to use a very good quality sharpener with a sharp blade and sharpen gently. All in all though, I’m satisfied with their performance. They need to come out with singles so you don’t have to buy a whole set to replace a pencil.I do want to add that I bought these when there was a terrific markdown. Just lucky I guess. At the original price, I do think these are too expensive. Best to wait a bit for the price to come down.

Really lovely 150 set
I thought I’d share my swatch of the new 150 set . Gorgeous range of colours ( I put them roughly in the order I prefer ) , I had the 72 set when they first came out which I thought was massively overpriced and the wood quality made me grumpy and I passed them on to a colouring friend . I’m going to say these sharpened better I had 1 or 2 when the wood sharpened “clumpy” ( I’m using a new blade in my sharpener) and 2 : soft yellow and jungle green where that actual lead core is crumbly making it difficult to actually get a point . But I’m very happy , the colour selection is stunning and £150 seems to me a fairer price ❤️

Breaking "leads"
I have been using these pencils for six months. The colours are very good and they apply well. I would be very happy with the pencils except that the "lead" breaks very easily, especially when sharpening the pencils. and this is very frustrating and wasteful.

The price point
These pencils are very easily the best priced on the market for the avid colouring book addict. Soft easy to blend strong pigment. To be honest as near perfect as any I have tried. 10 out of 10.
