That the two pieces fit tightly so it can draw a vacuum
It fit together good and was flexible . I used to pull out and add distilled water to my battery.

Very Handy
Purchased to help maintain water levels in golf cart batteries, especially as some of the batteries are partially hidden under the cart seat. I only wish the nozzle was more flexible; otherwise, the device works perfectly.

Worked fine for my non-standard needs
Update 3/2015: It's been 9 months now and it is still working perfectly with no leaks! 6/2014 Original Review: It worked fine for my needs and I am using it in a non-standard way. I have it filled with water and red food coloring and mounted bulb down with a 2 foot clear plastic tube mounted to the tip. Visualize a large old-style thermometer. I use it so I may pull my car into my garage as close to some shelves as possible without damaging the shelves or the car. When the car's front bumper just touches the bulb, the red colored water rises in the clear tubing telling me that I'm there. I've had it installed for a couple of months and it's worked perfectly and has not leaked. I did put some compression tape around the seal where the tip joins the bulb to prevent any leakage given it was going to be upside down all of the time. If it works for this, I'm confident it will work as a standard battery filler bulb.

Perfect size
The bulb holds up real well... I rinse it out after every use. The seal works as good as any others I used. I mainly suck brake fluid out and install fresh fluid. I prefer this design best, since I can clean it with my fingers, unlike than the dinky bulbs.

Would highly recommend and buy again.
Would highly recommend and buy again. Slap it on a hose and now your siphoning, or just added too much coolant/power steering fluid? No problem, just suck a little out. it's awesome. The red bulb comes off relatively easily for cleaning. I haven't tried to maintain it at all, and maybe harsh car chemicals will degrade the rubber, someone more careful might try hard to keep it from chemicals sitting in it. So far I haven't seen any problems or damdage.

An often forgotten but needed tool for Solar Powered systems.
Much like a turkey baster, but for battery care. I will use it for adding distilled water to deep cycle flooded acid batteries. I could have used he hydrometer to fill the batteries, but I didn't want the extra wear and tear on the hydrometers. Also the hydrometers have a much smaller bulb, requiring multiple refills of the battery cells.

Boondockers must have tool
A must have fro any boondocker. Checking and filling battery fluid keeps RVers off the grid.I just wish it was not as clumsy to use and drew more water with one release.

Its a tool !
Hey its a tool for putting DISTILLED water in your batteries (lead acid type) and it saves you from over filling by pouring in and over filling and saves your clothes ,remember to wear safety glasses because battery gases explosives near flame or spark and take my word don't ever use lighter to look down to see where water level is in battery .
