Nice wee kettle
Very nice kettle. It's nice to be able to control the temperature exactly. I've used this both to hear water as intended and as a budget sous-vide system. Sure, an actual sous-vide system would keep the temperature more constant, but I made a very nice steak in it all the same. You could cook pasta or eggs in it too. The jug is easy to clean. The down sides are that the jug seems fairly thin and it's not super powerful. The jug could probably break fairly easily, and isn't particularly high capacity. If filled to capacity and heated to boiling, bubbles cause water to splash out of the spout. The lower power than some kettles isn't a massive issue. If you just want boiling water ASAP then it could be annoying that the kettle starts throttling itself (turning the element on and off) as it gets close to the target temperature. Great if you don't want to overshoot, not so great if you don't care and just want hot water for noodles.

"45°c" water comes out at 60°c. Enough to scald. Avoid!!!
I don't like writing scathing reviews, but sometimes it needs to be said. I liked the idea of this kettle, looks hi tech, variable temperatures, LCD display etc... From the start it was awkward to select the temperatures. You'd turn it on and twist the knob to get the right temperature, but it would just beep at you for 3 to 4 seconds. So I ended up leaving it turned on... Then the button to confirm the temperature and start boiling would get stuck in it's depressed state (ie: to turn the kettle off), so you'd have to keep pressing and wiggling it to get it back up... It stops heating the water at 10° less than the temperature you want and then takes an added five minutes to reach your desired temperature (or 10° above it). One of it's pre-sets is 45°c, which is accompanied by a baby bottle icon, so suggesting this is a good temperature for a baby's drink. Which it is, when it's at that temperature. The first time it got it wrong, I'd not even noticed the water was extra steamy, just assumed it was too cold in the kitchen. Went to take a drink from my water bottle and burnt my lips.. After that I was extra careful with it and it's done it several times a week now over the last few weeks. I would NOT recommend this item, even if it's just a one-of glitchy kettle and all the rest are fine, I can't trust them any more.

Great while it lasts. Kettles used to last for years, this one only 15 months
Loved this kettle from the day I got it. Super easy to keep clean with a fully opening lid I can get my hand in, rub the inside with a soft scouring pad every few days to keep the scale down, and a proper descale once in a while. Temperature control took a bit of playing with to get used to it but after that it was easy, although I find it works better if the water level is at least halfway. At lower levels it boils hard before the cutout kicks in. Used the tea maker attachment very happily a few times, but now mainly used just for boiling water as I like to leave my tea in the kettle on keep warm but not everyone wants to drink it. Back to the teapot son. Love the keep warm feature which is why I bought it. I tend to switch kettles on then walk away and forget or get busy and then have to go back and reboil it which constantly annoys me, plus wastes electric. The keep warm works great and I rarely have to reboil, plus I can see what the current temperature is. CURSES. Stopped working without warning last night after 15 months of use. (Had to check my history to see when I got it). Switch it on and something clicks but no action. Electronics? Element? Who knows, but I expect a longer lifespan that that, especially as its not the cheapest on the market. That's why only 3 stars for value. Will definitely get another if I can get a refund or replacement. Otherwise may consider something cheaper if the life expectancy is so short.

The perfect kettle!
I was looking for a glass, BPA-free and controlable temperature kettle, and this one has it all. Finally! The temperature can be selected easily between different type of tea, and can be customized as well (with a minimal temp. of 40°). Very, very useful tea infuser that allows me to use the whole kettle as a "tea pot", much bigger than all other pots I had before! And the infusion itself works great as long as you fill the infuser with the proper amount of tea, depending on the amount of water you're using (a guideline can be found in the manual). No extra taste, just the full flavour of the tea. Of course, this mean that it needs to be cleaned every week if you use it daily, as tea will stains the bottom (especially around the area that heats up); for this, I followed Fohere's instructions (1 cup of white vinegar, 2 cups of water) and it's perfect; I sometimes do a double cleaning up, with white vinegar first, than one tablespoon of baking soda mixed with 1/3 of the kettle filled with water, then boil it and let it rest for two hours at least. Like new, no more stains at all after that! I use the same method to clean the infuser with it. On top of that, the second button allows the water to stay warm for 2 hours (and can be renewed after for another two hours, and so on), and it does stay at the exact same temperature. Awesome. The "beep" can also be cut down by pressing the main button for 3 seconds, simple. They thought about everything, it seems. 100% recommend.

Better than my BOSCH kettle & BPA FREE!
Wow what a kettle! It is exactly what we was looking for, a kettle that is BPA FREE, not like a BOSCH kettle! You have four different options, You have BOIL / COFFEE / WARM & FORMULA. Also you have a button you can program to a custom setting & a keep warm button. You can put dried tea in the tea infuser & fresh fruit & trust me fresh fruit infuses your water beautifully. (just remember to clean it afterwards!) It also comes with a tea chart, which gives you the water to teaspoon ratio. You can brew coffee, but I would suggest putting your coffee in a bit of muslin cloth, then placing inside the tea infuser. (Don't forget to clean it afterwards!) You can also do formula, but have not tried this. You can remove the whole lid for easy cleaning & literally fit your whole hand inside, so you can reach every bit inside of the kettle. On the back of the tea chart is cleaning & descaling info. It is nice and light, so if you have a problem lifting heavy kettles, this will be no problem for you. Overall I am very satisfied with my kettle and safe in the knowledge that it is BPA FREE!

Good but short lived
The kettle works as intended after the purchase. Every part fits, there are no visual dents or dirt. The LED display is bright and temperature control knob works smoothly. So why the 2 stars? The heating part of the kettle lasted only three months which is laughable considering the fact that this is the most integral part of the kettle. One day the kettle just refused to boil water and it stayed that way after checking different modes and manual temperature control. The display shows the current temperature but the kettle refuses to cooperate and turn on the heater. It's very disappointing at this price tag which should guarantee longer usage than three months.

I LOVE this kettle. Takes some getting used to
Now then….I had dreamed about this invention for many years. A kettle that you can brew and keep warm your infusion in. Whoopie doo, there it was after a random Amazon browse! Bought it immediately. When it arrived it wouldn’t stand straight….I read the reviews and saw loads of negative comments and thought I’d impulse purchased in error, so asked to return. This was granted. Thankfully, I took a few days to mull everything over and had another try with it. Thank goodness!! It wasn’t standing upright as the unit I placed it in had a warped wooden base. Easily remedied. I then washed and made my first brew. Camomileif you are interested. How much to put in? I erred on the side of generous, and left it to steep. Wow….so much goodness extracted! Too strong if anything (I will put in less herb next time). Amazing invention as long as….. Reading the reviews I see that people moan about temp control. Well….what do you expect? An electric braking system that stops the temp dead? Impossible!!! Remedy: use your noodle!! This is a tool! What I do….if I want 80°c, I set it for 70°c. Let it get to that (it will probably go over)….when it has settled, slightly edge it up to desired temp. It really is that simple!! I love it!! Easy to clean, made with quality materials, stirdy enough build (only used twice so far though). If you follow my instructions and you lobe brewing teas/infusions, then this is the gadget for you. Keeps it warm as long as you need too. No more tea light candles and cold brews!
