How big are the capsules?

They're a little smaller than most capsules. About the same length but thinner. I don't know the actual capsule size terminology so am comparing to average.

What kind of cinnamon is used in these--Cassia or Ceylon?

It appears to be derived from Cassia type of cinnamon. From Trunature's website: "CinSulin is extracted from Cinnamomum Burmannii, standardized to not less than 3% Type-A Polymers". At the following URL, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3459454/ , it describes Cinnamomum Burmannii as follows: "Cinnamomum burmannii is a shrub or a small tree, commonly known as Indonesian cassia, Batavia cassia, and Padang cassia, ..." However, the Cincilun water soluble extract may avoid the coumarin issue, as Trunature's site states the following: .. Research has shown that cinnamon’s water-soluble compounds can be beneficial, but the fat-soluble compounds are generally not. These fat-soluble compounds may even be harmful long-term when ingested in amounts that far exceed what is used for flavoring. CinSulin is a water extract of cinnamon. Through the patented water extraction process, the beneficial water-soluble compounds are concentrated and the unwanted fat-soluble compounds are reduced. Water extraction also reduces the amount of coumarin in CinSulin.
