AWESOME RELIEF & SUPPORT FOR DISLOCATED HIP!!!
FINALLY some Relief!!! A year ago to the day I fell and broke my left hip. I had the replacement surgery and all was well until a possible fall caused me to twist the wrong way and I dislocated my hip. The pain was far worse than the fall and break, just AGONY. The hospital performed a Left Hip Reduction which is relocating the implant and I got to go home later that evening. Unfortunately, they did not have a hip brace and I was sent home with just the leg brace. They told me to keep it elevated, ice, medication and to take it easy. After the dislocation I am in constant FEAR that it will pop out again, understandably sore and it feels Super Sensitive, like wobbly. I cannot sleep afraid that a sudden movement during the night will pop it out again. So I got this brace and the moment it was on I felt RELIEVED! The belt part and the section that goes down to the thigh strap section covers my scar from the implant Perfectly and the compression is JUST PERFECT! It gives good support when I am mobile and best of all it is Comfortable enough to sleep in!!! I wish I had gotten this brace sooner and since I will be using it for a long time I have ordered another. The hip brace is Very Well Made, the Velcro grip is strong and helps it stay in place with minimal shifting even in bed or walking with crutches! It is light and breathable and an AWESOME VALUE! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE DR. ARTHRITIS HIP BRACE!!!

Provided some support
My daughters and I have hEDS, and my 12 yo began having issues with her hip subluxating every time she took a step, very painfully. I bought several hip braces to see what would work best for her. This one was second best. She said it provided some support but not enough to prevent it from subluxating each time. The really good part of this one is that the side piece is a solid piece, which is better than the ones that were two pieces sewed together which she said provided her no support at all. Overall, the other one was a better fit.

Get one size larger than you think you need
The measurements don't add up it was too small compared to the measurement I did do I actually kept it just because of the ice pack

Well made. Has a rubber odor but can air it out for a few days.
Relief at last. Really works. Worth it.

The feel against my skin!
Love the texture of the material. Fantastic color!!! I can not wait to try it out tomorrow! I have hip dysplasia which causes severe pain in the hip and groin.

If you are a structurally small adult(5' and 100lb ish), this item will not work for you.
I have a hypermobility disorder. On days where my body/muscles are particularly weak, my hips subluxate.I purchased this leg brace to give my muscles a bit of a break on difficult days and keep myself from falling over when I try to walk - as one does....I am short and only weigh about 100lb. This brace appeared to offer the most versatility of use and support at an affordable price-point. Unfortunately, the back strap only connects with the velcro at one end. The back strap is "T" shaped with a longer end, and the shorter end of the "T" does not have a connection/velcro and seems to slip out, causing the brace to shift and no longer be effective. The more you walk around and exist, the faster the brace detaches itself from reality(and where it's meant to connect on the back strap). If a doctor developed this product, they forgot to account for people using the brace to.. well, move. Like, getting up and walking without your hip slipping around like a bar of soap at the bottom of a wet shower. So if you're wearing it as a support to walk, the back strap will eventually slip out of place. As a tangent to the back strap, it also seems to cause some back pain. At least for me. I am unsure if this is related to the brace not fitting correctly. The thigh strap works, though.I managed to manipulate the brace to provide support to my hip, but it was very uncomfortable and does not fit my proportions well.It doesn't "breathe" at all, so you'll sweat underneath it. Which contributes to the discomfort. This product only comes in S/M and an XS is not available to purchase or exchange. The booklet is hardly informative, especially for people with hypermobility disorders(double-jointedness). I don't feel like the booklet offers any additional value to the product at all. All of the information within the booklet is readily available via the internet browser on the device you're using to read this review.
