TIMBOOTECH Wireless HDMI Transmitter and Receiver 4K, 5G HDMI Extender

This device has been one of the easiest to use. Just plug on the receiver, plug in the transmitter, and that's it. I have installed two of these, one is 15 feet from the transmitter, and the other is 35 feet from the transmitter and they both work without any problems. Affordable, reliable, and easy to install and use. 100% recommended!!! REVIEW UPDATE!!!!! See the latest in the Correction... I bought 3 of these, 2 stop working. 1 died at the middle of September, and the other at the beginning of October. I am waiting to see how long the last one lasts. :( Very sad, I was extremely happy with these but they didn't survive the year. CORRECTION!!! All 3 devices are working fine, the problem was a splitter I was using. Apologies to the vendor and my review goes back to 5 stars. Also, I recommended this to my job and they bought a couple of them, and all are working fine.

I bought this transmitter at the beginning of March, and got it on the 8th. Hooked it up to transmit my work computer to a 24 inch TV I got and it immediately fired up! Easy to install and everything. Then after one week, it stopped either transmitting or receiving the image from the computer. I reset, re-paired, and even left the products disconnected over the weekend and tried again. All I get is the instructions screen from the receiver and that's it. No pairing message, no not connected message, nothing. Tried reaching out to the company through the website and the email provided on the instructions, the email came back to me saying the email doesn't exist. I can't say it's a waste of money, cause it was great when it worked, then it stopped working. Definitely gonna ask for a refund if I'm not to late. UPDATE: I was contacted by one of their reps about the issue. They informed me the transmitter is only meant to be run 4-5 hours. I work 10-13 hour days 5 days a week. They did offer me a brand new set at no cost and after learning it's limitations they suggested I buy a second transmitter and switch them out after so often. As a mechanic I can't take 10 minutes away from my time to switch a transmitter and reconnect the devices. That's not fair to the customers I'm servicing. So if you plan on using this to show some kind of long Livestream or you work long hours like I do, I'd suggest a different, and stronger product.

I did have an issue with ONE of the 3 units i purchased. I used amazons 'replacement' method, and the SAME DAY i shipped the defective (won't pair) Blue unit back i also received the Replacement Blue, which worked fine. :) I ordered a unit of each color to keep track of these in my home. Red, Grey, and Blue. Red and Green came in and worked great from the start, pre-paired, awesome! The Blue one would just Blink-and-blink-forever, because the receiver would not pair to anything new until it got replaced. These receivers Language defaults to English, Awesome! Screen transmission delay.. well somewhere around 120ms. (or in layman's terms 0.12 second. ). This is FINE for turn based games, or watching tv/movies/youtube. The max resolution I've been able to set these to is 1920x1080 on my ultrawide OLED screen (which itself has no more then a 1ms delay (or 0.001 second delay). On LCD and other screen types, you will start to FEEL the delay substantially if your playing action games or racing, fighting, sport games. For people needing your 90fps+ for call of duty, from a wireless hdmi transmission, your going to be disappointed even if you -get- your fps up to 90+.. because you will feel like there is input delay... its really Output delay as the visual feedback is 'late'... I however bought 3 of these, because i need them to look in on 2 server machines in the basement, without running wires up from the floor. And a steam deck, for turn-based games when im on the go at hotels. These things are pricey, but awesome for my use-case. Don't buy these if you're a FPS gamer, and you'll stay happy. I recommend these to Everyone else.

Worked as advertised but issue as the audio is 2.0 only. No stereo (5.1,7.1,dolby) or any version over 2.0. This as not revealed anywhere in ad. found it after the fact in the FAQ of the product. 3 stars for that and a return as it is useless to stream movies.

I was looking for a way to connect my Sony ZV-E10 to a new 24" monitor for when I shoot tabletop videos. It's nice to not rely on the camera's little LCD for framing and even focus. I really dislike the camera's micro-HDMI port and thought it I could eliminate the cables, I'd have a cleaner desktop setup. I hooked up the camera and the receiver almost before I could unfold the instructions... I had a live picture from the Sony on the monitor, I was shocked!!! It seemed to give nice clean picture wirelessly... amazing. It's when I recorded a clip and then switched the camera from record to play... the screen went black and didn't come back. Was then not able to switch back to record mode at that point and had to turn the camera off and then restart. I'm guessing there's some additional protocol / voodoo that goes on in the camera's circuitry that wasn't compatible with this wireless setup. Still, if I just needed a more conventional setup, like playing videos from an HDMI source such as a computer to a large screen and didn't want to mess with wires, this little rig is kind of cool! Even though I returned it, I'd very much recommend this setup for more conventional needs. I'm now back to an all wired camera setup, and the thin HDMI cable I bought here on Amazon seems great (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09X2N6LNB), for other situations I can see people loving this TIMBOOTECH wireless rig.

Update: So my update is solely on the service team side of this product. They are awesome extremely though in trying to make sure you/me have a great experience with their product. The product is solid and works in many cases, I think I just push the boundary a little to much for this product. However again the service is 5/5 the product is easily 4.5/5 So first off this was Extremely easy to set up. Everything is pair and ready to go out of the box. Instructions are quiet clear. The picture quality is okay. Perfect for Powerpoint/ slides/ and other simple graphical displays. As far as more complex such as large moving items or say like a general movie there is sum strong stuttering. Value is to high for was quality of video transmission is offered. I would say a 50-85 price point makes more sense here.

Very happy with the purchase. The units were easy to setup and the quality of the picture is good. The transmitter is on a PVR and the receiver on a AV Amp. The units are place about 40' apart but there are a few walls in between, some are insulated. There is no indication of any loss of signal. Fortunately, there was no need to pair the units since the factory pairing did the job, otherwise the procedure looks a little difficult to do. The only downside is an USB style adapter is needed for both units and it isn't included. I wish the power requirement was specified since these adapters power come in so many sizes. Fortunately, I had some older phone adapters lying around. Also wish there was some indication on the transmitter and/or receiver that the two units are connected and working. It would eliminate an issue when the TV HDMI selection is wrong. Update: Did find an small problem with it after using it. When the AV Amp is first turned on the wireless receiver sends a CEC (HDMI control) command on the HDMI connector that tells the amp to set the default external audio channel. This turns off the sound since it uses ARC. For my use it should have left it at ARC (audio return channel) on the current hdmi. I then have to reset the HDMI input channel on the AV Amp again. I'm hoping a workaround will be to by putting a CEC isolated connector between the receiver and AV Amp. This should ignore the CEC commands coming from receiver. Still like the quality of signal.

This product is nothing as it describes. Intentionally leaving out information to leave your customers assuming your vague claims of 4K is very misleading. There is no way to stream 4K to any device using this transmitter and receiver much less a decent 1080p. All signals transmitted to the receiver are 1080p at best and at extremely highly latency. No exaggeration, stuttering frames barely over 15-20fps and I don't believe it's a true 1080p, as it transmits so poorly it could be mistaken for 720p. Colors and textures are pasty and dull. And sound is mono regardless of any setup. A phone speaker has more clarity than this transmits. So regardless of your TV/sound setup, it will give the most basic sound. The transmitters are literally 11 feet from eachother and perform as stated so I wouldn't even bother past 50 feet much less their exaggerated claim of 100ft. And for this staggering price I feel extremely ripped off. The most basic transmitters have better quality than this for less than half the price. SAVE YOUR MONEY. THIS IS A WASTE. I promise you won't get ANYTHING CLOSE to your expectations.
