Perfect (and powerful) replacement for Chamberlain tricode (TC-1)
I didn't want to have to lug the big, visor-clip remote provided by my landlord, the Chamberlain TriCode TC-1 Gate Opener , every time I went out on my bike so I started looking for a mini remote. After many trips to Home Depot, etc to purchase and return various little remotes, I realized that the gate opener in my parking lot is NOT actually compatible with the things that are sold as "Universal"!Purchased this one from North Shore Commercial Door (after great help from them to figure out exactly which mini remote would work) and am THRILLED! The remote is very small and far more powerful than the original - I can open the gate from down the block with one push, as opposed to the "up-close and multiple times" method required with the Chamberlain. Easy to set up with the correct code too.Color me happy :-)PROS: + Super small and powerful + Great seller (North Shore Commercial) who will help you be sure to get the right oneCONS: - ? None?

Keychain Remote Distance Demonstration
The media could not be loaded. I live in a loft with a parking gate that uses a 300 Mhz, 10-pin door opener,. I have 3 vehicles (car and 2 scooters) so I wanted an opener on each keychain These super small units are great to carry on a keychain and in my case work from at least 60 feet away ( I just pressed the button in my living room which is 1) 25 feet away from the edge from the edge of my building (I'm on the 4th floor), 2) across the alley, 3) 20 ft to the right, and 4) obviously at least 40 feet off of the ground and it opens the gate every time. I did have the gate maintenance person put the antenna (a 1 foot piece of wire) out of the bottom of the metal box of electronics controlling the gate (apparently they have no concept of a Faraday cage). I've purchased both the single button and dual bottom versions. They both work flawlessly. Highly recommended! The dip switches are easy to understand ... no instructions needed. Highly recommended!

Works great!
I'm leaving this review a few months after buying, since then, the product picture has changed, the one I bought was the grey one with the round green button.Assuming this is the same thing and just has a new look, I'm leaving this review. I loved mine, worked great, I bought a couple of them. The hardware inside is VERY simple. I actually ended up taking mine apart and soldering some wires into where the button goes and converting it into a smart home connected garage door opener. It was really nice to have.Since then I've moved and now I have a garage door opener with the rolling code opener, so they cost a lot more and I don't want to go and solder into one of those and mess with that. haha.

Perfect
I love this small gate opener. I walk early in the morning and I take this with me to open the gate of my neighborhood. It's compact and works every time.

Small with a good range
This is listed as a 3060/3070 replacement, but I used it to replace a 3089 and it works perfectly for that use. The range is quite good, and as long as the gate is fully open by the time I get to it, I'm happy. And this works from more than that distance. It uses an easy to find battery, and it's easy to set the code using dip switches. The case was a little bit more awkward to open than I expected, but far from an ordeal. My original 3089 still works fine, but it's more than a bit bulky to carry. This one fits easily into a pocket and is convenient when going out for a walk without needing a gate key. I keep a spare for overnight guests. It's convenient for when the guard is off duty, and it was too impractical to expect guests to walk around with a full sized remote control. If this had worked equally well as the original, I would have been more than happy. The range seems to be on par with the remote controls that are built into my vehicles, and that's with this little battery powered control near my pocket rather than where vehicle manufacturers put it. It might even have a range that's marginally better, but not a significant amount. I haven't compared it to the bulky visor mounted version, but from what I remember, it had a smaller range.I would definitely recommend this over other units and the only down side is that it's not designed to mount it to your visor if you plan to use it that way. But you can add a strip of Velcro to it if you think it won't damage your visor. (A clipped on control will often leave a permanent dent anyway.) You can also use double stick tape, but I suspect that at some point, the battery might need replacing so that may not be practical.UPDATE: At the time I wrote this review, it had a different housing similar to Compatible Firefly II 300mhz- 10 dip keychain . By the time you read the review, I have no way of knowing if that one will change too. It was a gray housing with a light green button. I recently bought another one of this one and the new one looks like the picture and is black with a gray button. Both work equally well. The listing now says that colors may vary, and that's probably why. I suspect that these are all using the same circuit board anyway.

Worked just fine, without any problems at all
This generic keychain remote worked just fine to open my electronic front gate, which is programmed for a full-sized, brand-name Linear Multicode remote control. Pry open the battery compartment of your existing remote, look at which switches (there are 10) are pushed down, and then copy that sequence exactly when you receive this keychain remote.Edited to add: This product worked so well that I've bought several more. The keychain remote offers a discreet way to provide low-profile gate access to household employees and relatives - in a gated, secured community where I do not actually own the gate, visiting grandma, who walks everywhere she goes, now has a small remote control attached to her keychain, instead of a bulky handheld visor-clip remote. This lessens the chance of a nosy neighbor demanding to know why each one of our family's guests and household employees have their own remote controls for the gate.
