Q: Has anyone measured to see how flat the bed or constant the bed is on these?

I purchased two of these about one year apart. The difference in bed height was nearly .002" after clamping down due to a low spot in the base casting. I disassembled, cleaned and ground them to within .0002". After another year, I'm still satisfied and considering buying a third.

Q: what is the distance from the fixed jaw face to back of frame?

you must set a surface and work from that.

Q: What is the additional hardware (2 screws, 2 black squares) for?

There are places on the bottom of the vice that those little feet screw into, then those feet will settle between the slots of your milling table. It helps keep the mill aligned. They are not required for it to be functional, but can be handy to rapidly plop the vice in a milling table and have it parallel or perpendicular. FWIW I only use on foot on my vice as I need to be able to rotate it just a hair to be properly aligned, but sometimes I don't use the feet at all.

Q: Does anyone have the height of the bed and top of jaws for the 6" version? I want to ensure it matches my other vise.

The height of the bed on this 6'' Milling Vice is around 30 inches, and the height of top of the jaws on that is around 18 inches.
