I purchased three of these rods because they came with two different tips, a medium, and medium heavy. The three rods were (I thought) quality. We recently used them on a trip to Sarasota, FL fishing in Sarasota Bay. My son hooked into his first fish (an average trout for the bay, maybe 12”) and the top section of the rod snapped in half, it was the Medium section of the two tips, not the Medium-Heavy). I was shocked as this was not a large fish. Three of us were on the boat and we bring multiple rods on each trip so Sam picked up another of the newer rods. Didn’t have an issue the rest of the week.The rods were shipped in great condition and seemed to have no defects on inspection. Maybe this was just a weak place on the fiberglass, but regardless it was disappointing. Since we’re always in the Bay and rarely go into the gulf, a Medium action rod is all we use. I think we got a defective one, but really have no clue of how to prove that.Regardless, Frank from SportMall was quick to offer to replace the tip for me, that's good service! The remainder of the trip we used the other two rods everyday without an issue, I think I just got a weak one.Thank you Frank!

This is an incredible product! I bought two of these three piece rods for two of my bait casting reels, and was so impressed, I bought one for my wife's spinning reel. The rod has a solid, no slip grip, so easy to use all day without tiring out her hand. One of the most outstanding features of this rod is that for $39.99, you get essentially two rods for the low price of one. First, the light to medium top end is so sensitive you know exactly what is going on at the other end of your line. You will not miss the slightest tap or bump of a fish, plus it will cast forever. The 2nd, top end is MH. The rod out performs all of my wife's expensive worm rods. It has such strength and power to haul in big bass, yet so sensitive you always know the fish has picked up your worm, is holding it in his mouth, for the second you have to set the hook. Plus, their customer service is 2nd to none! Great people to work with!

Finally had the chance to get this rod out and fish it even though it was windy as all get out. I’m going to give it 4stars for now.Mounted one of my spinning reels to this rod which is a Lews TLCB30 with 15lb braid and a mono leader the reel seat was nice and solid paired it with the medium tip. Despite the wind the rod felt great and did it’s job and casted good into the wind with a light Texas rigged softbait worm. It’ll probably become one of my more finesse rigged rods I’ll use I think it’ll do a fine job working such type lures. Looks constructed and made well as far as the tips go all seems well there for now including the eyes and inserts. I’m pretty sure if something happens these folks will take care of me as they have seemed to do with the majority of people that had issues.I’ve got quite a few rods and reels ranging from expensive, affordable, cheap etc and as far as I can tell if they continue to have great customer service and make a decent product I’d like to have a lot more to try/use including newer or untested products. For what $35-40 you’d be hard pressed to beat em especially if you’re working class average joe and just want something that’ll work. Every fishing product I’ve used is hit and miss THE real truth is how the customer service goes once you have a problem.I’ll update it more when I hook into some big’ns along the way and put it through some more abuse right now here in the mountains fishing’s slow well the catching is reel slow.I’ve fished this/these Entsport rods (I have 4) many times now and I couldn’t be happier with their fishing gear and their customer service.... I 110% recommend them.

This rod is not only beautiful to look at. It is also very comfortable in the hand. I really like that it came with a medium and a medium/heavy action tip (which are labeled at the base with an "M" for medium and an "MH" for medium/heavy. I use the rod for bass fishing with the medium tip and it holds up beautifully. Good amount of backbone to this rod, yet it also has a decent amount of flex. All in all I would recommend to anybody looking for a stylish, reasonabley priced rod.Update: Now that I've hooked into some fish with this rod I can officially say that I'm in love with the setup. I hooked into a 37 inch pike (not the one in the pictures) and fought it for 5 minutes using the medium action tip. The rod was bent over like a U while fighting the beast, and it preformed beautifully. If the medium action tip can handle that... I can only imagine that the medium heavy tip can handle some absolute monsters. Absolutely amazing rod for a very reasonable price.

With a two piece rod you need them fit together right. When pushing them together, both the M and MH tips would not fully fit together. Both tips still had about 1 1/2" to go and stopped. Also the length between the butt end and reel was way too long. After reading more reviews it probably would have snapped eventually anyway.

I bought this rod for myself and Not only was surprised at how high the quality was but by how beautiful it was. I have it paired with a Penn Conflict 2 with 15 lb Power Pro this is my go-to rod 4 Fishing jerkbaits and soft Plastics forsook sea trout redfish and the other day I got some work hauling in mackerel. It's very light and very strong and just ordered another for my father for Christmas. Packaging was great shipping was fast. This is the least expensive wrought iron by over $100. And now gets used more than any other because of its versatility and the fact that'll fit across my back window.

I absolutely love this rod- it feels just as good as it looks. I had an issue with one of the tips though and it snapped unfortunately the 1st time I took it out. It was more of a freak accident than an issue with the rod, but when I contacted Sportsmall their customer service was more than willing to work with me and do what they could to make it right. Excellent customer service and and excellent value for your money.
