We stapled the tape to the plant stand that we use and it did not split or tear. It seems to be deterring the slugs.

I didn't think this would work at all ,so I set up an experiment set aside 6 various hostasa plants with the copper tape put them in a tray in a vulnerable place ! Easy to apply - did find However that several very large snails and slugs still managed to get over it without being put off hence 4 stars not 5. Maybe putting double strips may be the answer but overall did what it said and good value

I have tried copper tape before to ward of slugs and snails but it is not 100 % effective. Still a useful tool to protect my plants. Good value.

Arrived overnight and added to the top of some collars made from 2 Ltr soft drink bottles which I've put around my courgette plants. 2 days on and they are still slug free, yay! Will be cutting up more bottles to surround small plants again as it works well.

I bought this along with a slug trap for my cat pen.Slugs are always going in his food every night.Basically mojo is an outdoor cat and would never adapt to home life as I had him as a terrified Abused stray and he likes to be outside and have his own space, he's still terrified of most things so he is really happy out my big garden with Protectapet to keep him safe and a a huge pen with electric so has heating in the winter, he has low lighting and a radio and various beds so he's happy.So anyway I needed something to stop these damn slugs so put 3 strips all around his food bowl.Went into the pen following morning and guess what?? Freaking slug trails all over his bowls.This copper tape does not deter them in the slightest and even the beer filled trap doesn't even work.So don't bother with this tape, absolutely useless 😒

Quite simply this works.Our clematis was virtually destroyed by slugs and snails and after we used this around the base of it the leaf regrowth has remained untouched.

Bought this as the snails and slugs were ruining my Hostas! I wrapped this round the pot and never seen a slug or snail since! I was a bit dubious at first but it really does work! Just remember to remove those Blighty pests first or they will be trapped inside! X
