I read a review on Consumer Lab which says it's been found to help the pancreas put out more insulin in lab tests. I talked with my OMD (Oriental Medicine Dr.)/ acupuncturist who said this is an herb that OMDs often recommend for diabetes type 2. I bought a bottle and could tell right away that my Blood glucose didn't rise as much as it was doing after eating and that it goes down much better than it was doing. I'm easily below 170 again most of the time. That had become more and more of a struggle. I didn't want to add something more than metformin to my regime.So I'm very happy.You must be careful if you take blood thinners because this herb can thin your blood even more.

Used it as recommended with Holy Basil for blood sugar control. Not a medical person so cannot recommend for or against, advise you to do your own research if you are interested in it. It gave me no problems.

I received an ad for some supplement to make you feel energized, healthy etc. I read the ingredients. Aside from common vitamins the active ingredients were Quercetin, Berberine and Jiaogulan. I looked those ingredients up and found this site. The supplements in the ad would cost me approximately $100 per month. I can buy all three ingredients here for approximately $90 for three months! I wake up feeling rested and ready to get ready for work. I am energized all day. It is not a buzz like caffeine or sugar. It is totally undetectable. I just feel great and ready to go!

Hard to judge. I got it Wednesday, took the first two capsules on Thursday. Since this is meant to build up the immune system it is not something that you will know if working for a while. In fact you may have to be exposed to cold and or flu to know if your are fighting it off or not. Maybe I'll post something after the first 90 days are up.
