Take the best elements from Seinfeld and Arrested Development and you have It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Combining the social-degenerate-buddy formula (three men, one woman) with the beyond-dysfunctional-family element, Philadelphia creates scenarios that are so hysterical, wrong, appalling, familiar, embarrassing, uncomfortable, and entertaining, the show is addictive like staring at a car wreck when you know you shouldn't, but you just can't look away; it's invigorating like a fresh, loud, wake-up slap on the face. The writing, the quick timing, and the performances are so natural, one wonders if anyone is even acting (but hopes to heaven they are). Danny DeVito joined the cast in the second season, in one of the best roles on TV. DeVito is "Frank," the buddy dad that just wants to be part of the gang, the dad that looks good on paper, but the experience for his kids is more like taking care of a vicious dog that isn't potty-trained. Three of his four talented cohorts (Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton, and Rob McElhenney) not only star in the series, but write it as well. Thanks to their new take on old themes and a willingness to stretch the boundaries of appropriateness and exploit the audiences' inner insecurities, originality is back on TV

Can you go wrong with Always Sunny?
You probably already know this is an off-color comedy - funny and a bit twisted. But if that's your cup of tea - you'll enjoy these guys.The DVD set shipped quickly and the videos are all playing smoothly. FYI - this isn't really a "boxed set" in any measure - each season is multiple discs in standard DVD jewel cases. So - you'll get 10 individually wrapped DVDs strapped together with packing tape. Nothing wrong with that per se - just not what I expected.I paid approximately $0.78 per episode, and that, my friends, is a steal.

By far one of my favorites
Just one of the BEST shows out there. One of the most narcassitic group of people you have ever seen. And they all feed off of each other. They are so well written and the actors are phenomenal. The show is just one of the best out there. I had to have all of them. If you are into shows where people constantly banter, make fun of each other, and have random rants and acts....This is the show for you. There are hardly any episodes I cannot watch. When it was on Netflix, I would literally watch this 2-3 times a year from beginning to end.

DVD'S have an advantage
Love the series! But mostly, I love that I can enjoy them at my own leisure! May be old school, but it's nice to be able to have a backup and having THIS is a testament in the event your cable goes out. True story!

Big ol box of laughs for days
F***** love its always sunny! Great product though, shipping was fast even with the "pandemic" occuring. And the cases are unharmed, discs arent scratched and in their respectable retainers. Diggin it! If they sold the next decade id definitely order it from them.

Original and damned funny
If you like off-beat humor and characters that are sort of really rotten, this series is perfect. If you are looking for scripted TV garbage, look elsewhere. After all, what is better than...Birdlaw...?
