3M 1080 M12 MATTE BLACK 5ft x 1ft (5 Sq/ft) Car Wrap Vinyl Film

This seems exactly like the good stuff you'd see direct from a car factory. Strong and tough. I had some challenging curves to apply this to and that wasn't easy but you can pull it back and stretch it a bit. TAKE YOUR TIME and plan your install carefully because once you have it pulled away from the backing you can't really mess around or you risk getting dirt onto the sticky side and you'll never get that off.But - with careful application this stuff is really great and seems to hold up well. I put it on the front bumper and it's not been affected by road debris or bugs after a couple months of use.

No issues with packaging or item. Used to black out the roof rails on my 2020 4Runner. Turned out great and a few head later still looks good.

I purchased a new vehicle and used this to cover over the driver's side kick panel, inside the lower part of the door, and the outside front plastic panel of the front seat. It seems every car I've ever had gets all scuffed up in those places from swinging your feet in and out. This film covers it all handsomely. It took a while to cut and fit it (about an hour), but that was 2 months ago and this film hasn't peeled, torn, bubbled, or anything unwanted. It's GREAT. It's somewhat flexible and can be smoothed over gently curved surfaces.I did place this over slightly "textured" automotive interior plastic trim, and it adheres just fine.You can see my photos that show this film two months after applying it. Everything you see that's black (other than the floor mat) is this film. Took about an hour to do it all. I applied it in a heated garage, about 60 to 65 degrees F. I would not attempt to apply this in cooler conditions than that. The warmer it is, the better this goes on.

Its good wrap

So my Volkswagen R32 came with some neato brushed aluminium vinyl wrap on various trim pieces, but sadly one day I scratched it in a conspicuous area and so of course the whole lot had to come off, including on the gear selector trim. Trouble is, I pulled the wrap off the gear selector trim and to my horror that wrap pulled the soft touch texture spray off. So, I bought this vinyl wrap to handle that. It applies well and definitely looks the part with careful attention to detail. Please don't judge the life I live based on the things on my desk. We're all just humans here, trying to make it through, but you can clearly see that with proper prep work you're gonna do a good job with this wrap.Based on the quality of this product, I might feel fancy one day and try the piano black wrap in my R32 to annoy the auto journalists.

This was purchased to fix some paint that had peeled off the window trim of my car. It was very easy to apply and adhered great. I waited a while after purchasing to review to ensure it held up and it has done an excellent job in all elements! You can hardly tell there was peeled paint behind it. It matched great, covered great, and holds up very well. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for an option to fix a spot on your car without having to pay excessive amounts of money at a body shop. It is a matte finish but that is what the trim was on my car as well so it blended perfectly.

Got this the other day and I’m pretty disappointed. The color looks like it is just flat black/gray... there was 2 sharpie marks from someone in the factory or something about 2’ into the roll so I just threw it away cus it was supposed to be on my windshield of my car. It also is scratched extremely easy... my microfiber towel over my rubber squeegee left scratches in it somehow... will not buy this again and would not recommend! Don’t buy

So far so good. I used this to turn my chevy emblem black on my truck. I was worried it would come off if it got wet because I wasn't able to get the corners tucked all the way under. We had a week of steady drizzle and it still looks good. If it does come off, I have enough to replace it several times over. I originally bought another brand that only came with enough for the front and back. I had to use both on the back because I messed up tracing the outline with a scalpel. I definitely think this is a superior product plus you get a lot more if you need to do it twice.
