I really loved this story
J. Nathan is one of my favorite new adult writers so I’m always excited when she publishes a new story. And just like her other books, I really enjoyed this story!Grace never expected her father to die when she was 17 years old or that she would have to leave her house and home town to move to the Grayson manor where her mother lives and works as a housekeeper. If all that wasn’t hard enough, the three sons who live there aren’t really happy with her presence there. The youngest brother Sawyer may be kind to her but his two older brothers Seren and Saint are cold, spoiled and selfish. Their handsome looks may have girls falling for them but Grace isn’t one of them. And especially the oldest brother Seren seems to dislike her very much! But Grace isn’t afraid to stand up to him or to the other rich bullies. And the more Seren pushes her, the more Grace pushes back but somewhere along the way, Grace and Seren get to know each other better and Seren shows Grace a side of him that nobody else knows. Something is blossoming between them and feelings are growing but not everyone is happy about that, especially not the rich girls on Seren’s school. And there is also a secret enemy with their own secret plans to harm Seren and his family. Can Grace and Seren keep each other safe and can their newfound love overcome all opposition against them?‘Seren’ is a high school bully romance story. I read a lot of different romance genres but I haven’t read many bully stories. I think part of the reason for it is that I’m afraid that the main character will take the bullying too far but knowing J. Nathan’s writing style, I knew that I didn’t have to worry about that in this story and I was right! Yes, there was bullying in the book but it wasn’t anything too dramatic or emotional. And the fact that we got both POV’s in the story, gave us also more insight into Seren’s emotions, actions and thoughts. The main characters Grace and Seren may only be 17 years and 18 years old but I still found them mature for their age. Especially Grace acted sensible and wise in difficult situations. At first glance, Grace and Seren couldn’t be more different but if you looked deeper, you saw that they shared things too. Both lost their father, someone they loved very much. Both had big dreams for their future. Seren wanted to be a professional football player and Grace wanted to work in a rescue sea center to work with wounded sea animals. Both worked hard to achieve their goal. From the start there was chemistry between them but where in the beginning Seren’s focus was more into bullying Grace, later into the story it changed into something else, his focus became thoughtful and more sensitive. Seren’s focus was always intense, he never lost that, not when he was doing bad things or good things. really liked that about him! Grace and Seren may be young but their feelings for each other were very strong and intense. Neither of them doubted the other or their feelings. Maybe also interesting to know, there were a few sex scenes in the story. The secondary character were also interesting. Some character we got to know better than others. There was Grace’s mother Rosalie and Seren’s mother and stepfather. From the two brothers, we got to know Sawyer better than Saint. Saint stayed a bit of a mystery. But I have my fingers crossed that maybe the writer will give us him and Sawyer’s story too. I would really love that. Grace’s friends Holly and Laney were wonderful friends, there were kind, funny, supportive and very protective of Grace too.I’m really happy that the writer have us an epilogue at the end. I’m always curious to see a glimpse into the couple’s future.‘Seren’ is a great story, it reminded me a bit of ‘The royals’ series by Erin Watt, if you have read those books and liked them, try this book too.

Cute
Not what you expect to read when an author has written a bully romance. Here's the thing, it has some bullying, but it drives the story in an interesting manner. I love how J Nathan has crafted Seren's character. He is full mean, full attitude and full love. I also love Grace, because she does not back down or kowtow to Seren, his brothers or the mean girls. She is a strong female character who is living and loyal to her friends and family. This story is an easy read that just made me feel good. It is light on the spice.

The perfect blend of mystery, intrigue and unrequited love!!
Grace was still mourning the death of her father when her mother whisked her away to live in the Grayson Mansion where she worked. Her mother had warned her about the Grayson brothers, but Grace refused to allow the rich and entitled brothers to give her a hard time. Grace was a strong and independent young woman who knew what she wanted out of life and had great plans for her future. I applaud her for putting up with the bullying and relentless name calling when she was forced to attend school with Seren and his brothers. Grace stood up to them with her head held high and her self-esteem intact. It took me a bit longer to warm up to Seren because I wasn’t sure what he was up to. He was a talented but troubled young man whose past was filled with sadness and loss because his father's death changed all of them. His mother was not herself and it was hard for him to see her as a weak and dependent woman. He just wanted his fun and vibrant mother back! Seren also wanted Grace but being rude to her and playing tricks on her was not the way to win her heart. Grace may feel something for Seren, but she wasn’t sure she could trust him with her heart.Grace and Seren are a dynamic young couple who were forced to be together by circumstances beyond their control. The magnetic pull between them got stronger as they spent more time together and I was hoping Seren would relax a bit so Grace could see the man behind the good looks and rude attitude. I was shocked by the ending of the book, but I wasn’t surprised to see Grace and Seren involved with solving the mystery and bringing happiness to his family once again.

childish!
Not sure where to begin. 50% into the book and the hero still sides with the Mean Girl… like really?! I couldn’t finish this book, too much back and forth of childish behaviors!

beautifully told. 🥰❤️
Seren and Grace hate each other. Grace just wants to survive her time being under the same roof as this broody angry boy. Seren hates what Grace elicits out of him. He tries to push her away. He finally gives in and has to convince her to trust him. Their story is so wonderfully done. This is my first book to read by J. Nathan and I am so happy I read this! Loved every moment of this story and their journey to ultimately get them their HEA.

Bully Romance?
This book was okay to me. I wouldn't really call it a bully romance seeing as we were only a couple chapters in when he does a 180 and admits he likes her and becomes a different person. The writing is pretty good I just feel it was missing something .

Amazing
I absolutely loved reading Seren! This book captured my attention from the first page! It was filled with amazing tension, angst and drama between Seren and Grace! This book at times made my heartache for Grace. No matter what was thrown at Grace and Seren they both overcame their struggles and fought for their happy ending!
