Soothing, Soft, and So Cute!
This is my second time buying one of these purr kitties- the first time was when I was fostering a newborn kitten and she loved it. We have since adipted her and she is now an adult lol, but her little sister got pregnant before we were able to get her fixed and so now we have four little kittens who absolutely love this. The minute that I turn it on- it creates the most calming purring sound- and since they have a young mother, it seems to be very comforting to them. It’s also really snuggly and soft. I feel like the color has changed from when I first got one a few years ago to now, but it has gotten cuter. It’s a very light purple. The details on it are so fun too! I highly recommend for any age cat and even for humans that just like the sound of purring… soothing.

I have THREE of these, my kitty loves it so much!
The media could not be loaded. The photos and video basically are my review.Initially I thought this purring monster was gonna be a waste of time and money, but I was willing to give it a shot. I'm so glad that I did!!! Since my first purchase, I've bought two more to have as backups, but ended up opening them and putting them in different areas where he likes to sleep. Ultimately the only one he cares about is the first one I purchased, so unless the original is present for him to suckle, while one of the backups is purring, he doesn't respond. He's such a fan that he's started seeking out the location of "the original" and will drag it to me up and down a flight of stairs, letting me know he wants to snuggle with me. When the purring cycle finishes he'll look up at me and do a purring "meow" letting me know he wants me to push it again to make it purr some more.I'm so happy with this purring monster, and as long as the motor on at least ONE of the three holds up, he'll be a happy little guy for a long time. So far, I've only had to periodically change the battery on these, and the motor on all 3 seems to be holding on strong. I use them multiple times a day, running it through at least 3 cycles each time until he's content and fully settled in for a nap or sleep at night, so they've definitely withheld a lot of use so far.For reference, he's just over a year old, he came from a feral colony of kitties, and it was introduced to him when he was roughly 12 weeks old. I have other kitties that are older and none of them have ever shown interest. So maybe it's best suited for younger kitties.

Purr sound is much too loud; kitten had to get used to it
Update: After a week or so, the kitten I bought this for decided she loved it. I had to regularly wash it because of how much she would suckle on it. It's now two months later, and she always wants this when she goes to sleep. It's mostly always on the bed in my office, and she comes in and kneads on it before falling asleep. If I don't notice she's come in, she'll meow at me to turn it on since she can't push the button hard enough. The other cats ignore it completely, so it's no longer scary for them, just not interesting. Upping to 4 stars since it just took her some time to get used to it. I would give 5 stars if it were easy enough to push the button for her to turn it on herself when she needs it and if it took AAA batteries or something more common.Original: I have an 8 week old kitten my neighbor brought me when he saw her thrown into the highway at 3 weeks old. While she has a wonderful playmate in the kitten about 3 months older that had followed me home on a walk the week before, she still shows signs of missing her mother when I cuddle her, so I thought the purring pillow would help for the times I can't cuddle her when she wants. Unfortunately, it's too loud and all of my cats hate it, with my male who has adopted the kittens trying to kill it and drag it away from them after seeing the kittens scared, not in a fun, playful way, but in a stressy, protective way, which I have to admit was cute and sweet.I don't have a cat's hearing and am not laying my head on it, and I think it's much too loud and sounds almost more mechanical than real because of that. It also doesn't look anything like the picture either, which they don't care about, but it's not nearly as cute as I expected it to be. I'll give it 3 stars because the baby kitten is sleeping cuddled up to it as I write this as long as I don't turn it on, but it's disappointing to not be able to give her as much comfort as I had hoped.

Cute, loud purr noise
The cats are good with it until the purr starts (which I have to turn on or off by pressing a button on the face), I think because it is sort of loud. Maybe given some time they will get used to it. I was hoping it would give them some comfort when sleeping. I wish there was a purr volume because this really is a cute idea.

Perfect For An Adult Spayed Cat!
My 3 year old cat needed to be in her own recovery tent after her Spay...She's a jumper! This cute, soft sloth helped calm her down for her first 2 days. Now, she sleeps with it.

Worth it!
I am really pleased with this item! I have sibling, senior cats. One of them is stressed and aggressive with his brother. To the point that he is on medication. As soon as I put the toy near him and turn it on when he is lying down or loafing he starts to purr I think it is helping. He seems more calm so I don’t know if would have paid a lot more for it but I think it was definitely worth it for the money!

My Cat Thinks the Toy Stole Her Bed
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought this relaxing cat toy that makes a purring sound, thinking it would help my cat feel calm and cozy. Well… she’s confused and a little offended. At first, she cautiously licked it like she was trying to comfort a lost kitten. Then she decided it had claimed her bed and now refuses to sleep there. It’s kind of hilarious, honestly. From her perspective, a mysterious purring stranger just moved into her room and started snoring in her spot. We had to evict the toy from her bed and slowly reintroduce it like it’s a new roommate. It’s a cute concept, and some cats might love it but mine is still deciding if it’s a friend, threat, or intruder. Use with caution in her territory.
