Moog MF104M Moogerfooger Analog Delay Effects Pedal - Black

Great delay..amazing build. Sound is pure analog and pure MOOG. You do not get the sounds of this in any other delay pedal. For me, I have owned this TWICE. Once almost two years ago, and after I had to sell for the $$ I missed it. I finally ordered another and have to say, I had issues with some hiss coming through my amp. After turning down the output and turning up the drive the hiss was improved. Still, for $700 it should not be hissy when engaged.With that said, the delays are like no other. Origanic, rich, spacey and you can modulate to your hearts content. This is indeed an instrument in itself and should not be compared to another pedal. I also have a Carbon Copy and it gets about 80% of the sound of the Moog for $150. Still, the CC is more trebly and needs to be maxed out to be heard as loud as the moog at 1/4mix.Nothing like the Moog, its legendary. If you want the best Analog delay, here it is. I took away one star due to the hiss when the pedal is engaged.

Great effect, Moog provides flexibility to get different sounds, especially while combining with another Moogerfooger, connecting the oscilator out from one to different functions of another. As for the seller, it was fast shipping and packaging

Delay has been my favorite effect since i started playing music, this one has stopped my hunting for my ultimate delay. Simple, organic, warm, lush, creamy, majestic. Save for it, you won't regret.

I bought this pedal after not being completely happy with several digital units, including rack mount units and most recently the Eventide H9. I was reluctant because of the price, but couldn't find anything that offered all the features of this unit, including the modulation options, and the degree of control available with expression pedals. I'm happy I went ahead and got one. It's amazing. I didn't think I would use it as much as I do. I run it through the effects loop after the H9. It makes the guitar sound thick and round. I think it's the modulation that does it. I use the 104M a little bit just to thicken the sound, or a lot, combined with the H9, to create huge soundscapes and washes. I run the two delays together, and the Moog gives the mix a more analog sound, syrupy, warm. Because of the expression pedals and knobs, this thing is closer to an instrument than an effects pedal. You can set it and forget it, or you can play along with it to your guitar, like a wha wha pedal. It cant do all the complex pitch shifting and algorithms that the H9 does, so it won't replace your digital gear, but it will expand your musical horizon.

Do yourself a favor and buy this. If for some reason you don't like it or get tired of it you can prob get close to 90% of retail for it. They are that coveted and desired.
