I bought my Veito over 5 years ago at the Tulsa State Fair. I was walking past this booth and felt the warmth of a heater so I went back and bought one. There’s one carbon tube but looks like more because of the reflective background. You can adjust the intensity with the remote control. I know it goes over 40 but I usually set it at 15 or 20. The unit can be placed lower on the stand, and depending on the model you get, you can place it higher and horizontal as well. The model I have is the one in the picture and it does not go horizontal. It makes no noise whatsoever because there’s no fan, it just radiates. It automatically shuts off if the base is bumped. I have a metal step stool I put near the heater if I want to warm up my body quickly. It’ll warm you up so fast you’ll be sweating and have to move further away. I don’t know if there’s a maximum amount of time it will stay on before it shuts off because I’ve never left it on when I’m not home. There is a setting on the remote for a timer and a level of heat, but I always do auto which just stays on until you shut it off and it stays at the level that was last used until you change it. It might seem a little expensive, but it cost less than one natural gas bill. I haven’t used natural gas heater since before I bought this heater. And I would recommend this Veito heater to anyone wanting to keep warm and keep your heat bills low.

Worked great until it stopped working after just a year…… and that is in Florida where it was used maybe a couple dozen times in the winter.

This is the second one I have bought of this brand and was completely satisfied with how great it is!Worth every penny!

Bought for use on a covered deck. Sat outside for an hour with temps in the 30’s!
