Data Battery Pack for JVC BN-VG121U and Select JVC Everio Camcorders

Because of these batteries, I just may buy more JVC cameras. Since they only used extremely overpriced jvc smart batteries I had stopped buying them, my last camera was a Panasonic just because it used low cost aftermarket batteries. So I bought 2 of these, I recorded an hour and a half on each camera and still have 50%, or another 90 minutes, of the capacity remaining. Thats 3 solid hours of recording @ 1080 on a gz-e10bu. I would expect similar results on other models. Also that was their first use, it can take upto 5 charge/discharge cycles to gain fill capacity. These batteries may well get 3 1/2 hours once broken in. I do have one high capacity jvc battery, it was more than double the price of one of these batteries and 2100mah, these are rated 2500mah. I also tried a pair of the batteries that plug into the charging jack, that worked but not ideal. When you turned the camera off, they tired to charge themselves and surely waste power in the process unless you unplugged them each time you closed the camera. These function just like oe and display remaining percentage and estimated recording time.

This battery was purchased to replace another one that had a wire running out of it that connected to the recharger. The wire had frayed and was no longer able to supply power to the camera. I only had it for less than a year. This one (I bought two just in case) held the charge for two solid hours and had no cable connection. It was so much superior to the one that came with the camera, which only held the charge for less than a half hour.

The Battery fits the camera well and charges up quickly. So far it has doubled the amount of recording time I get.

I ordered this for my father who really needed a new battery pack for his camcorder. The one he had was a crappy one that required to plug in to the charger port and turned off at random times. this one works much better, and seems to work just as good as the one he originally had. It also last much longer than the previous one (which was like double the size of this one). He is very satisfied with this battery pack, and we may buy another.

Item arrived in good condition and on time. This works perfectly! I have not had any problems so far. The original battery lasts only 45 minutes on a full charge. This battery lasts 3.5 hours! Excellent price too, this same battery from JVC.com costs about $80.

The battery does not last as long as advertised. I lost a half day of recordings in Paris because it ran out of juice . After charging all night it did the same thing.

I'm glad I didn't post a review right away. When the battery came it worked great. I was happy. It charged fast, and it powered my JVC camcorder and did not run out during my shoots. Then suddenly one day it simply would not charge. It is dead and will not charge again. I have no idea why. I did nothing differently from what I did before. It just stopped working after one month. What a pain.

This is a really good battery. It charged up pretty fast and it seems to hold a good charge (better than the one that came with the camera). I put it in my camera and been playing with it off and on all day and it still has a good charge (full with 170 mins left). I bought this along with a Kapaxen Rapid Battery Charger for $38 and I am very pleased.
