Trial by Poison: Introducing Mary Slessor (Trailblazer Books)

I LOVE these Trailblazers books - I read them outloud and my 8- and 10-year-olds love them. Engaging, suspenseful, well-written faith-based historical fiction.

This book was written very well. If you've read other books about Mary Slessor,you'll enjoy this one because it tells about a specific life experience. I found it suspenseful and intriguing. It was thought provoking in that it opens your eyes to the danger of not gaining a full understanding of something you're told and just going off with half of the information to make a decision. I would recommend this book to any age group. It has a good cast of characters that are well developed in the story. I came away feeling as if I had been part of the story.

This book is a wonderful book for young christians. A great book for family worship. I highly recommend this series!!

Both my grandsons loved this book and one even wanted to become a missionary after reading it! Hope there are more out there like it!
