KEA’s two-stage cyclonic “enclosureless type” two-stage drum lid mounted dust collectors are efficient and durable providing a safer working environment. Ideal for dust collection applications including woodworking, grinding and buffing. The durable blower and radial blade wheel are self-cleaning, all cast aluminum sitting on top of a strong 12-gauge steel drum-mounted lid with a powder coated finish. Seven sizes (up to 1400 cfm’s) of our drum mounted two-stage collectors are available as listed above, providing higher filtration efficiencies as compared to a single stage collector. Each includes a maintenance free motor which is 3450 RPM, TEFC (totally enclosed fan cooled), continuous duty, with a one year no-fault warranty. Each model is available in 115/230 volt single phase (except 3 HP) or 230/460 volt three phase 60 cycle motors. The single phase ½ & 1HP (115 volt, 60 cycle) models include a prewired six-foot long power cord with three-prong grounded plug and switch. It fits on any drum (not included) with an outside diameter of 24” or less. Each model includes a 5 micron dust filtration bag at 99% efficiency (size & filtration media surface area varies with each model), heavy-duty clear flex hose (five feet), and two hose clamps. Attachments, including motor starters for any three phase motor or motor above 1 HP, are optional. The drum must be able to support the weight of the drum-mounted dust collector (fiber drums may be used, but not plastic). A 55 gallon steel or foil-lined drum is typically used. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Standard 664, 2007 Edition, states that no dust collector can be used to collect BOTH wood dust (or wood chips) AND metal dust (or metal chips).
