I love the scope but the adjusting knobs were on the wrong shafts, ( up & down was where right & left should be and vice a versa). Then the directions did not say anything about how to zero the scope. No problem right? You loosen the set screw and remove the knob then put it back on in the zero position. Wrong, I'm a guy, when I find something I stop looking for it. In this case I didn't see the other 2 set screws. So I got desperate enough to read the directions and nothing helpful. After some time and frustration I found them. Sounds easy right? but think about it, you don't want to turn the knobs after you spent all that time getting them exactly were you want them, so now you have to spin your rifle 360 degrees to look for something you don't know is there. It kind of makes everyone else in the room nervous too. OK I now have the knobs on the correct shafts and want to fine tune at 200 yards. now when I turn the up knob up the bullet hole magically rises COOL! but when I turn the other knob to the R direction the bullet goes to the left! Are you kidding ME! So I give it more R and get more left. #*#* So I scratch an arrow going in the opposite direction and cover the factory arrow with a sharpie. Did I void my warranty? I don't know but now I love My Scope! I can see how the knobs could be switched but how did I get a knob with an arrow pointing the wrong direction?

Awesome scope..until I shot it.
Awesome scope. Looks great and not like a typical low end scope. Rich from Mueller insured me this had Japanese glass and I believe him by what I see. I compared it to a Tasco japan scope and my Mueller was clearer and brighter. I also compared this to a sightmark triple duty 8.5 25x50 and they were pretty tied optic wise with a sharper picture with Mueller and the Mueller had better contrast. I love it!! the site marks in the Muller were way better than the Bushnell legend 5-15x40 I had. Turrets were nice positive clicks and very audible and resettable. Haven't shot it yet but I'm backed up with lifetime warranty anyways!UPDATE: I took it to the target today and now see why this is $150 scope. After barrel started warming up a little the target looked distorted and nasty. I started sighting the scope on 14x at 50 yards and everything was perfect , moved to 100 yards and tried 14x power and everything was way off. Tried on 20x power and thing were all over the place. This tells me point of impact changes through magnification. I have had cheaper scopes that have never done this. I guess looking through optics are one thing but shooting them is a whole new world. I'm not going to bash the company or product as I may just got a whacky one. However I lost $45 in ammo so won't be trying a next one.

O.K. for the Money, but Lacking
This scope is o.k. but it did not meet my needs. I'm retired and target shoot most Wednesday's just as a casual pastime.I wanted to see 22 caliber holes at 100 yards to see groupings around the bullseye. This Mueller was just not clear enough.I own a 14x Burris MTAC which I realize is a $375 scope, but the 14x on the Burris seemed the same strength as 22 or 23x on this Mueller, plus it has greater optical clarity. Also this Mueller seemed to have no difference between 22x and 25x and almost none between 20x and 25x, at least on mine. I returned it.I realize this is an inexpensive scope but I would check out a Bushnell in the $150 range before this Mueller.I really urge you to save up $300 and buy a Nikon ProStaff.

Clear view at lower cost
After being impressed by a Mueller scope someone had at the range, I bought one of these for my bolt rifle. The view is nice and clear. I was able to zero at 200 yards and hit the target with a decent group. It may not have the big brand name, but meets my needs and fits my budget at the same time; two important things that are most often mutually exclusive.

Works great but it needs a suntube (sunshade)
I purchased this for a .22LR with a +25 MOA rail. This scope holds a very reliable zero at 200 yards. I've discovered the glare from sunlight can really screw up my view, but it doesn't come with a suntube (sunshade). So I ordered a separate sunshade for it.I think Mueller could learn a lesson from BSA, who include a suntube with their high-power scopes.

Why pay more
I have this model on for bench guns it is very easy to use crystal clear and affordable the clarity is right there with Leopold

This is a very good scope and for the price you can't go wrong.
This is a very good scope and for the price you can't go wrong. After receiving it was probably a bit too much scope for my gun but after getting use to using the 8 through 25 power setting I am very glad I purchased. I was putting projectiles down range 200-yards and was able to see the bullet holes. This scope could be use at a further distance with ease, I just ran out of open range.

I have 4 mueller scopes - this is my least favorite, mildots are too large in my opinion, otherwise it's a mueller scope and for the money, great optics!

Great scope
I purchased this scope based on others reviews. I have always had inexpensive scopes with some performing better than others. After looking through a buddies nikon 6-24, 800$ scope i liked it, but thought wow, i can't justify the price. I know, you get what you pay for right! Well i purchased the Mueller 8.5-25 thinking I would get something like a Bushnell banner. Well was I mistaken. This scope is so clear at maximum zoom its unreal. My buddy with the Nikon was very impressed and said he couldn't see much difference between the two. His will probably perform better at low light, but I'm not using it for hunting. Its got a mil dot reticle and the crosshairs are not too thick. If you are thinking should I buy this scope, i assure you, you wont be disappointed. I have it mounted on a savage 25 thumbhole 223.

Not bad, Not great
Not bad, Not great. Fairly clear up to about 16x after that forget it. It's just way to dark for my liking. I have 2 other Mueller scopes and i can tell you the glass is much better on them. But hey can't complain paid $ 120.00 on amazon's warehouse deals.

Great scope for the money
Great scope for the money. Have it mounted on cz455 22lr. Fairly positive "clicks" on moa adjustments. holds zero. No issues with quality. Glass is clear. No fog at max zoom.
