Yes they are! They are very nice capsules--I use them daily.

The capsules are water soluble but not oil soluble, so be careful what liquids you put in them. I do not know if the oil will leak over time, so I put oil in them immediately before use.

Q: What size capsule will hold a half teaspoon of fine powder?

I've been using liquids in the capsule but I thought I would try it with sugar so you could have the answer. A half teaspoon of sugar did fit into this capsule. I would say about half of the half teaspoon might fit. That would be a 1/4 teaspoon.
