This press works so great! It's heavy and sturdy, really great quality. The bottom of the press has texture so things do not stick to it and it works! I love this press and highly recommend. Some said in comments it rusts but remember it's cast iron so after washing dry immediately and fully and store in a dry place. You can also wipe it down with a very thin layer of vegetable shortening after washing and thoroughly drying to avoid rust.

These are good for the money. Practical for the grill or cast iron skillet. They are flat on the bottom and most food doesn't stick. Still best to use paper though. Heavy with comfortable handles. Not too small. Seem like they'll last.

The main reason I purchased these grill presses is because they are the only cast iron presses that have fully flat bottoms. When smashing burgers I don’t want the waffle pattern. For the rectangular press, I’m mostly looking to use it on bacon or just as a press for searing steaks so I wanted to avoided the ones with thick groves. This is the only brand I could find that has the combo pack of the smash burger press and the rectangular press, both cast iron and both with flat bottoms. I weighed both and the rectangle comes in at 2 pounds and 5.8 ounces while the circular one comes in at 2 pounds 6 ounces. Good weight, but I’ve held heavier presses for sure. Also, the price is a bit high for the average weight and for the handle to be made of a seemingly cheap wood. I also dislike the orange color of the wood handle as it’s very unnatural; a more neutral brown stain would look nicer. Also, the cast iron is very abrasive so you definitely cannot clean/dry these presses with paper towels unless you want to shred them up and get tons of strands stuck to the presses. You must use a cloth to dry these which is slightly annoying. They perform as described. They are fairly large which is perfect for pressing burgers or using them as a weight for searing steak. They are cast iron and do heat up after a bit of time on the grill/pan so be cautious of that. In the end I think the difficulty of cleaning made this a product I could not keep, but that may not be the case for you!

I absolutely love this burger press! It makes perfectly shaped patties every single time—no more uneven burgers falling apart on the grill. Bought this for my husband for our 6th anniversary (iron anniversary). It works perfectly. It’s a good weight for smash burgers and plus we also use it for bacon and sandwiches. Lots of different uses.

These were great quality, only point i would make is that there was a grid pattern on the surface and I was looking for a flat surface (personal preference)

I have been asked to edit my review, people must have very low standards. I guess their feelings got hurt. Not sure how people are giving this 5 start review not heavy weight at all the lodge is much heavier does a better job.
