I use these waterproof project boxes for outdoor lighting projects all the time. They're sturdy, weather proof, and easy to work with. I prefer plastic boxes over metal because the don't block wireless signals and are easier to drill through.

These are quality, sturdy, weather tight boxes that have a nice glossy finish. Top screws on with machine screws into threaded brass inserts. Definitely doesn’t feel cheap, even though they’re inexpensive. Very happy with these.

At first, I wasn't sure. Buy luckily I am so much smarterer than 99.9% of the other hoomans, so I did about a month's worth of research. AND my conclusion concludes that this is in fact a box even though it's not a perfect square. It's called a rectangle (I know right? wtf is a rectangle LOL) BUT EVEN THOUGH IT'S NOT A PERFECT SQUARE, It's still a box! You're welcome BTW.

Holding the box it is the correct size to make a belt held remote control and while the top has a very nice snug fit it would handle a few splashes of water but not waterproof to be dunked in a body of water Would buy again for what it is

Used outdoors for Yolk contact sensors on yard gates. Work well, waterproof and rugged.
