RioRand PWM DC Motor Speed Controller 6V-28V 3A

Used this on a project of mine. It controls the speed of a wiper motor on something I made for duck hunting. Great product and easy install!

I used one of these to set up a DC test track for a model locomotive. It worked very well and it was easy to make the relevant connections. This will be a very handy item in the future. Since I've only used one of them and on this one occasion I can't say anything about longevity. But it seems to be well made and it did exactly what I needed.

Needed a way to have wiper motor run in reverse direction for Halloween prop, and this made it work. So happy with this purchase.

This is a nice circuit board and does the job. However it is not as pictured. The one that I got does not have the forward and revers switch. It you read the description carefully it mentions that you might get an older version that does not have the switch but that you can request the newer version. I can not see a way to do that. I don't want to send this unit back because it works and does what I need it to do but it is not what I expected based on the picture. It would have been nice if they would have just sent the one that was shown and described.

The first one they sent did not have the reversible switch included with it. So I contacted them and they sent me another one of the same. No reversible switch. So I sent the second one back and was refunded purchase price. But I still had the first one and I started using it because I needed to use that fan. It lasted about a week and now it doesn't turn off or adjust the speed. So as far as I'm concerned, these are junk. And whoever was in charge of shipping my orders, should be fired. They screwed up two times on the same order.

Got this little speed control to use in my senior design project. I needed to control the speed of a drum winding up wire. I used it on a 12Vdc 5 rom motor and it worked out great. It does forward and reverse and can be turned off by the switch or by turning the potentiometer to zero where it clicks off. If you turn it all the down it does still draw a very small amount of current fyi. It’s pretty decent for its small size. It doesn’t come with instructions but you won’t need them. I think for the price it’s a good value. I’m didn’t check the output with a scope because I didn’t need to it worked flawlessly.

Second one work like a charm first one did have some loose solder joints on it I think cuz that solder inside of it I returned it got a second one which worked fine Great for my fan on my RV to adjust the speed and change the direction

Wish it was working but it was dead on arrival. And yes, I tested with multimeter to confirm. It’s unfortunate and spoiled fun with my kids as their ride on car was not ready for the weekend fun.
