Helps out on the power bill
I live in Las Vegas. I had this fan installed to hang from the ceiling of my back patio, on the southwest corner of my house. The patio is just off my master bedroom. The individual who installed the fan directed it to blow straight across the French doors of my master bedroom. Smart man. Before this fan, my patio was insufferable during the summer months, because the hot air was trapped under the patio roof. And that trapped hot air made my bedroom uncomfortable too. I would run my a/c all afternoon and well into the evening to make sure I could sleep at night. This fan changed everything! It blows out all the hot air that is trapped on my patio, and my master bedroom stays comfortable all day and all night long. Last summer, we had 5 straight days of 118 degrees here in Vegas. As anyone who lives in a hot climate knows, it costs a lot more to run the a/c than it does to run a fan. My master bedroom stayed comfy, and my power bill stayed reasonable.

iLiving18 Inch Fan moves tons of Air & Brand Is Reliable
Great fans. I have had the 14" model for several years. I am moving it to the rear ramp area where my and dogs beds areI got the 18" model to put in the original location of the old fan at the front of my dual-ramp enclosed snowmobile trailer turned RV/Tiny-Home.I mounted it so it can blow air into and through the trailer from the front. I mounted it so it can rotate 180° to suck air out through the front of the trailer too as that is where my wood burning stove is or if the wind direction is different. This 18" iLiving fan moves at least over double the air of the my old 14" model. The iLiving fans are great because they are essentially waterproof. The only complaint I have is that the screws that hold the clamshell grill covers together are extremely tiny and insufficient, so I replaced them with some bigger and more stout ones (see photos).

Cool
Works good outside in the barn. Just smaller than I visualized. But works. Air flow and speed are good.

Well Built Outdoor Fan
Really nice quality fan, and especially the motor housing. I've had this fan for 2.5 years, rain, freezing cold, and it has no issues at all. It's also relatively quiet on the low setting. Highly recommend. Also, the customer service is great. Small issue with a part and they helped me.

This fan is impervious to the elements
Oh my goodness! This fan has been really amazing. I got it because my neighbor smokes, and I wanted to try to keep the smoke smell from entering my yard. I actually got two of these fans so that I could place them in strategic locations. I leave one of them on all the time on low, turning it off only if there is a forecast for ice or freezing rain. I'm not sure that would have any detrimental effect on the fan, but I figure there's no point in the motor trying to work when the fan blades are possibly accumulating ice. When I'm outside and my neighbor comes out, I will turn the first fan on to high, and then I will also turn the second fan on to high as well. It's amazing the difference they make. When they are on high, they are quite loud, and the one that I leave on low all the time is vibrating a little bit, but I think it's because of the angle I have it set on. That is another effective feature of this fan. You can angle the air flow pretty much anywhere you want it. I have left both fans out year round, and they both work completely fine. The one that is on low, I actually have on a timer so it comes on every day for 18 hours and goes off from midnight to 6:00 a.m. .The one thing to be aware of with these fans though is that when they are on high, they do draw quite a bit of electricity. For a short period of time, I left both of them on high because I was out in the yard a lot, and I actually saw a difference in my electricity usage. Leaving one of them on low 18 hours a day is much less impactful. It makes sense that they draw a bit of electricity though because the air flow is quite significant when the highest setting is used. The one other thing I want to point out about this fan, and it is pretty much the reason I bought it among the others I found, is that it works just fine sitting on a flat surface. In fact, I have it zip tied to a milk crate to elevate it just a bit, and then the milk crate is anchored in place with bricks. It has worked just fine for both fans. When I was searching for a fan for my particular usage, I needed one that did not have to be wall mounted, and I also wanted one that was truly weatherproof. This one has satisfied both of those requirements, in addition to having a strong air flow to do what I need it to do. I highly recommend this fan if your needs are similar to mine.
