Excellent value for money
Thick handle, easy to hold and sturdy build. The edge is nominal, no where near razor sharp. The wood handle is susceptible to water damage so don't use any detergent to clean it before a good coating of wood wax/linseed oil. The blade will develop rust spots too if not dried off after use. Overall this is a very good knife for the money is taken care of. Don't chop any bones or anything harder than an avocado pit or you'll risk chipping or rolling the edge.

Great quality, beautifully made, very sharp knife, comfortable, high-quality blade, don't dishwash.
The knife came in a nice black box, the box has a magnetic latch for keeping it closed. The knife was in a protective sleeve and held firmly in a cut-to-shape foam "pocket". So, it's not a cheap carton box that you would throw away right after opening, if you want to store the knife in its original packaging this box is a keeper and will last long. The knife itself looks beautiful with a hammered pattern all over the blade, "FODCOKI" imprint, and a Brazilian carbonized wooden handle. I'm not an expert on knives, so I don't know if this knife is really handmade as the manufacturer states in the description or if it's made to look like it's "hand forged". I personally tend to think that it's a combination of both when the blade was pre-manufactured mechanically and then it was finished and sharpened manually. If there are knife experts around here, please comment on this and tell me what you think. The wooden handle looks beautiful, however, it automatically implies that you will not be able to put your knife in a dishwasher. At least not without destroying the handle finish. I would recommend hand-wash it using a very mild dish-washing solution and remember to apply some mineral oil (or any other wood conditioning solution of your preference) on the handle after every wash. You also must wipe out clean and lightly oil the blade itself in order to prevent any rust developing on it. As the description specifically says, it's made of premium German high carbon steel, the Rockwell hardness is 56±2 HRC, which means that the blade is rust-resistant, but it is not a stainless steel. I would say that it's a "high maintenance" knife. While it's not a deal breaker for me, it is something that you should definitely take into account before placing an order.Overall, I'd say, the knife is very well made. The brass insert at the end of the handle adds a nice touch to the knife style and this knife will definitely attract the attention of your guests. It is comfortable to hold, it has a good balance, and it's easy to swing. The edge is very sharp, which I expected but the first time I took it out to give it a try, I noticed that the weight of the knife is heavier than the other knife of similar style I already have in my collection. The total weight of the knife is 262 grams. It does not feel like a cheap thin bladed knife at all, the blade is "thick" and does not bend, handles very well.Knife has easily handled meat, fish skin-on, veggies - all the regular stuff. I haven't tried it on frozen meat yet, which sometimes I need (for Mongolian BBQ, etc.), but I will when the time comes. It's very comfortable to hold and handle, its wooden handle is just the right size for my hand and its shape is just as your hand likes it. Also waiting for the time, it will require sharpening to see how it handles a whetstone. I will update this review after the first sharpening with more thoughts and information.*** TL;DR ***Yes, I do recommend this knife, it performs on par if not better than my German pro-grade Henkel chef knife and it looks beautiful. It looks like a collection piece if you are into collecting knives and it's very good as a kitchen tool. I would give this knife 5 stars in a heartbeat if not only for the amount of maintenance it requires. Otherwise, it's an absolutely great knife, I really like it!Pros:1) Great quality.2) Beautifully made.3) Very sharp knife.4) Comfortable to hold.5) High quality "thick" quality blade.6) Heavy (262g) and easy to swing.Cons:1) Not sure if it is really "handmade"?2) Not dishwasher safe, it will damage the wooden handle.3) Requires wiping and oiling the blade after each cleaning.

These knives are very sharp and easy to handle
These knives are so amazing! I love mine. I got all of them! Now if I could find matching steak knives I’d be set! They are so comfortable to use. The feel weighted but not too heavy, the blade is so sharp it takes minimal effort to cut anything. I’m so happy with my purchase!

Not a good carbon blade
This knife came somewhat sharp super thick. with a terrible angle for the edge I have since reconditioned the knife to a better angle sharpening it a great deal but it’s still a poor knife compared to any decent carbon knife like the $20 eBay one next to it

I wanted to wait a good while
For the price of this knife, I am very amaze. If you follow the instructions of what does neighbors made for and how to use it. Especially if you’re not to take care of knives didn’t Biyombo is your money in my opinion. I’m very grateful I made this purchase. No hassle with sharpening and slice like a champ!

These knives are a LIE. They're NOT high carbon steel.
I purchased this knife on December 2nd 2023. Due to a hand surgery and couldn't use the product until now.I decided to force the patina on this knife since surgery kept me from using it. I started with cutting onions and 10 minutes in vinegar and it did nothing. I followed this by a 25 minute vinegar soak.... Still nothing. Next I decided to try an instant coffee method and this still did nothing to create a patina. These knives are cheap stainless steel falsely being advertised as "high carbon steel" I had high hopes for this brand but deceiving their customs with lies for sales seems the be their main goal. I do not recommend, highly disappointed.
