I can't believe I had to actually give this a star

bad packaging, tops all fell off and side click lead release - don’t waste your money
Shame on me. Too good to be true. First of all, I wanted to send this as a gift to my child’s teacher, but right out of the amazon box, it looks terrible. Like these pencils are ages old and have been jostled around in transit significantly. So I’ve since opened them up and decided to just use them at home, only to find that all of the tops slid right off as I took it out of the package. Annoying, but seems not to affect the product as they can be put back on (but again, I would be VERY embarrassed to have given this as a gift). To make matters worse, it’s not a traditional click at the top; it clicks on the side...which is very obnoxious to write with. Also, the click only seems to grab the lead every 3rd or 4th click. I’ll be very interested to find out if these continue to disappoint me. Now that I’m keeping them at home, I’ll find out soon enough.

Not a great fit for kids
This is a "you get what you pay for" product. I was thrilled to receive a great price for these brightly colored wonder pencils. Once received, my excitement changed to regret. I wanted a bit of a thicker pencil for my kids for school and home. In the first few days, all 3 brought some back home because the trigger that feeds the pencil broke off. I would understand if one or two of my kids were messing around and broke them, but all three... and multiple pencils... that is not just kids goofing off. In the first month, we went through over half of them. Plus, the erasers are not a snug fit and come out easily.

Do the Math!
I read the other reviews and decided to take a chance. I purchased the 0.7 mm sized lead. I shared them with my fifth and sixth grade students during a mathematics lesson for their review. Everyone liked the pencils. The clip comes off sometimes; but, the kids just put it back on. They write dark enough and their erasers are good too.The unit cost for these pencils is $0.278. We did the math and decided they were a great deal.

Sturdy Pencils, Disappointing Graphite
There's nothing more delightful than a box with a year's worth of mechanical pencils, yet I can't deny that I was disappointed by this purchase. The pencils feel sturdy and the box is substantial, but the graphite in them is so light that you have to push extremely hard on the paper to get something readable. I certainly didn't endeavor to buy graphite refills, but right now, all seventy-two of these pencils are practically useless to me. Don't let this deter you, perhaps I prefer my writing darker than most, but I've certainly had better quality from others.-Cory

This is an excellent and plentiful supply of pencils
This is an excellent and plentiful supply of pencils. I find the lead to be better than many other mechanical pencils I've used which makes this supply last longer. Be wary of the erasers when they wear down because they can become difficult to replace since there is no slit of easy removal. Also, the button that moves the lead can fall out, but this is often easily fixed. The clips are also rather flimsy, but I find this to be a minor issue. The most important part is the lead itself, and I've known plenty of cheap mechanical pencils that break very easily and can be quite frustrating. I have a heavy hand, and these pencils suit me very well. They are the only pencils my table top RPG group uses, and I teach and frequently use them in school. They're excellent for gaming and whatever other needs you might have for a pencil.

Really solid product
So I have a fifteen year old boy. None of his teachers can read his chicken scratching when he writes with a regular pencil, but he keeps freaking destroying the mechanical ones I buy him and then looking at me like I’m speaking in a different language when I ask him what the heck he’s doing with them. I mean...he’s either losing them or doing something stupid and gross with the other teenage human males at his school, so I’m okay with not knowing.I am NOT okay with driving halfway down a mountain once a week to buy him replacements. So I ordered these, threw them in his desk, and told him they have to last until the end of the school year or I’ll start making him use a quill and ink pot. That contrary little turkey hasn’t lost or broken a single pencil since he got these. Maybe they’re magic?

Really happy with these pencils.
I rAm a teacher and I go through pencils fairly often. I was initially drawn to the price. I thought they were fairly cheap for the quantity of pencils in the package as well as the number of erasers and extra lead. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the pencils advance the lead and with how infrequently the lead breaks. My 7 year olds also find them easy to use, which is not true of other mechanical pencils.Additionally, the erasers work really well. They rarely leave stray marks behind. They only draw back is getting used to the advance button located on the side of the barrel. Not a difficult transition.

Poor quality
Bought these for the kids in my class in order to prevent the cunning diversionary tactic of them spending hours stood by the bin ‘sharpening their pencils’ (we all know they don’t need sharpening and you can’t write with a pencil that’s as sharp as a javelin anyways). Sadly the quality of this product is not good, 5 or 6 of the pencils so far don’t work due to the leads slipping back up into the shaft when any pressure is applied and they are generally pretty cheap and unreliable. Avoid.

Quality for cheap.
For the price it is the best. The pencils last longer than you would imagine. If you're starting uni or sixth form this is a must buy. I'm sure it will last until you're finished education completely.

OK retractable pencils
For the price I cannot fault them, Quality is not the best but thats reflected in the quantity and price. A good purchase and I would definitely conducer buying again if the need arises.
